This "subway series" was apparently an interleague REGULAR-SEASON game. It was June 12, 2009. This play started with 2 out in bottom of the 9th, and if that fly ball had been caught, the Mets would have won 8-7. Instead, the Yankees scored those 2 runs, thus the winning run scored with 2 out and the game ended that way.

Thankfully they started playing great baseball not too long after this and were by far the best team in the second half.

The Yankees are number one, at 56 percent, with the Mets at 33 percent, followed by 3 percent for the Red Sox, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University poll finds.
