I'd love it if Skenes had a chance to talk to Nolan Ryan. To hear Nolan talk about pitching a 13 inning game, and throwing over 200 pitches. These guys today are good, but not like the men of old.

​@lilorange3647 he's on a count. He's still throwing 100 pitches. After he develops his man strength, they'll let him go to 110-120. He'll get am extra inning here and there.

@@sonsofliberty3081 sure. Even with his k/9 he could consistently go 8 by working on efficiency alone. JV was good for 130 anyday but no manager will allow that today. Just with him hitting 102, high draft pick and the k/9 I always think about JV. Then again I wasn’t around much for the Johnson era. Plus JV didn’t have that devastating splinker or whatever you call it 🤯🤯

Until they get a new owner that wants to invest in a good team, the Pirates will still be a farm team for the foreseeable future. The only way they'll ever win is if their mix of bright young talent (pre-payday) and journeyman veterans ever hit on all cylinders at the same time. Pittsburgh really deserves a good owner for their storied baseball team. It's a real shame.

I used to work at the stadium. If I'm not mistaken they only have 5 or 6 stored. I mean what are the odds a team will hit 7 lol
