The car suspension system is critical for the proper operation of your vehicle, and you must maintain it at all times. To keep the car under control, the suspension system works in unison with the steering system. The significance of these two automotive systems leads to a comparison of Mevotech vs. Moog, as both firms deal with car suspension and steering replacement parts.
When it comes to replacement parts, they are vital in the event that your parts are damaged or worn out, and a replacement is required for the car to function effectively. When shopping for a replacement part, you need not save on quality, which is why you should go for well-known companies that can provide you with the highest-quality products. In this example, we're looking at Mevotech and Moog, two businesses with a lengthy history in the auto-parts industry. We'll take a look at each company to show you why they're a good choice.

Bought a set of moog sway bar links for my car, had lock nuts that wouldn't thread all the way on and after 2 pumps of grease both boots blew out and ruptured. Got a refund at the parts store and got mevotech supreme sway bar links and have had them on my car without issue. If you choose mevotech I'd suggest going with supreme or ttx grade parts if available.

There are two MOOG brands; MOOG Steering and Suspension parts and MOOG Motion Controls. 95% of the video clips you used in this comparison are for the wrong MOOG. MOOG Motion Controls has no affiliation with MOOG Steering and Suspension.

I did my 98 Corolla's front-end suspension over in Mevotrash Supreme XFactor crap. I paid big bucks for the best. I did a flawless job installing the parts and do mostly highway driving. I got 1 year before I had to remove it all, and I mean ALL. Replaced with Toyota parts which lasted 4 years til I sold the car. Mevocrap... NEVER again!

Just tried to install Mevotech lower control arms with ball joints on an '09 Sienna. The forward mount has two bolt holes but with one bolt installed the other bolt hole was 3/16" out, making it a no-go. Also the lower part of the ball joint was too tall, meaning it would be contacting the brake backing plate when installed. The quality of the part looked very good and I should have looked much closer comparing the new to the old part but I've got better things to do then potentially wasting my time ordering a part (especially on-line) and finding it's out of spec. Sorry Mevotech, can't buy from a company with quality control issues like this..

So who's the winner???? It's not stated, but that's literally the reason that EVERYBODY who watched this video sat through it, as that's what the title implies. The company overviews are good to know, but not what ww came here for. There is literally no comparisons done and no winner proclaimed.

Nearly nine minute diatribe of marketing bullshit and not once do they say a word about where/what country any of it is manufactured in... "Mevotech is a Canadian based company" but are their parts actually manufactured in Canada or are they even manufactured by Mevotech at all or are they designed and marketed in Canada offices and then purchased from factories in China? Fact that they didn't say, tells me all I need to know.

@miguelquazar883
@miguelquazar883 Год назад
Thanks for mentioning "Lifetime Garuntee" vs reality and how much it sucks to be stranded. I have experienced these failures in tools, car parts, and even fishing gear. I only use products 'normally". I try my hardest to not abuse anything as I want it to last. But this sh*t is like a disease these days. When you have to tell your employer for instance, "My starter is bad, I am replacing today, sorry bear with me." And then a week later you are telling the same story, that Lifetime Warranty Garuntee means nothing. I learn this the hard way and spend 50-100% more to combat this. Its absolute bs. There are plenty of stories like this... One of the worst when it comes to a home appliance like a (clothes) washing machine is Samsung. I havr never bought one. But they have these insanely long lige warranties. Something like 10 years. Which is pretty amazing considering a low-end GE model has a 1-2 year warranty and the price can very by $150 (+/-). Yet if you talk to a repair man or a poor soul that bought one, many can vouche that they are the biggest pieces of sh*t out there. I am not saying all Samsung products are like this, but their washing machines are made with the cheapest alloys and they do not consider different types of metals reacting and corroding terribly. They start rotting out within a couple of years and their refrigerators are sh*t as well. I can go on and on about this crap... When it comes to car parts... you really have to bite the bullet and apply the "you get what you pay for" conclusion. Some things are fine to do cheaply, of course. But there is so many garbage quality products out there it is just a constant ligr lesson these days with car parts. It is worse than ever. It is as if the options are drying up.

I'll tell you the winner. They are both garbage! I've tried both moog and mevotech supreme on my civic and both ball joints only lasted about 6 months each. Utter trash. It's sickening how dangerous it is to use inferior steel. Use OE.

@@joeybuddy96 you get what you pay for bro. It is disgusting that 20 years ago you atleast had loads of options. And sometimes a mere $5-10 could make a huge difference. @101 Vids Did you even stop to think that maybe the problem isn’t the parts but maybe the installer, You are basing your opinion on one set of ball joints on one vehicle! You are absolutely out of your mind if you think MOOG is trash! I have been using MOOG for over 25 years commercially, I guarantee that I have repaired more vehicles in one week than you have in your entire life! My statement is based on thousands of vehicles over almost 3 decades, I guarantee that you installed something wrong!

@@NeverEnoughPyro40i got 2 hubs from moog for my 2007 Silverado Classic (accident insurance repair claim list, nothing appeared wrong with the stock 1s) they are good. I saw a vid recently of a tierod end from moog using a plastic bearing compared to toyotas, idk if its snake oil or what but mevotec claims sintered metal bearing and even dorman rd line claims a metal on metal bearing, so there is plenty of choices. I replaced upper control arm bushings on a 2004 trailblazer and they were good. I'm not knocking moog, but it seems the nimrod with the honda above is the problem.
