Yes chicken 65 was invented in Chennai at a restaurant called buhari(the owner apparently is a friend of my dad’s) and now its one of the prominent hospitality chain in South india)

These food are mainly from the state called Tamil Nadu... We eat all of these for our breakfast.. so these food are from the state called Tamil Nadu and Chennai is a city in Tamil Nadu... By the way, I'm from Tamil Nadu😜😜

Tamil Nadu is the best place get all this.. But other South Indian states have them too.. I'm from Kerala and we have our own variety of similar breakfasts. The most variety I've seen is in Karnataka..

Dad knew exactly what he wants. He went for the coconut chutney everytime with idle and vada. That is the right choice. The others are ok but coconut chutney is the right bride for idle and vada along with the sambhar. All made in heaven.

You Should try some Indian Chaats like • Pani Puri ( Gol Gappa's ) • Dahi Papdi • Raj Kachori • Bhel Puri • Allo Tikki with Chole • Dhokla etc.

My father was a South Indian so my mom used to daily prepare these dishes and I this is my daily breakfast thing bit your enthusiasm is so infectious that I have found different wonder. When u asked your dad to dip in the sambar the idli, was so sweet n cute. I will do the same .

Hey beto... I love u tried south Indian food 😁🤗 next time pls do try south Indian meals, now whatever had was breakfast options. Oh ya vada is made from one kind of lentils called URID DHAL not with rice though n also try south Indian chicken curry with dosa (Highly recommended) by me 🤩. @@PaLuck I'm from Maharashtra and I dont like upma cause since I was a kid my mum used to make suji (sweet) from Semolina so eating it like a savory dish bothers me.

@@6KOMOD you're used to Sheera style. I was raised in Maharashtra too and I started liking upma much more when I moved to south india. It's much simpler there.

Wow I really appreciate how you are using the food name in our language aloo potato and not just the english names. You're knowledge in Indian food culture is good. I appreciate when foreigner learn to call the food in our language and not make name according to their convenience. We love Mexican food and learn to call it enchiladas lasagna etc we don't change the original names but I see on all this reaction videos they don't call our food with its original name which defeat the whole purpose of learning others food and culture. You're keep it authentic.

Upma is made out of flattened fried rice and yes all these are eaten in breakfast...All these south Indian dishes are relatively healthy and less spicy so if one is wanting to go easy on his/her stomach for a day then these are the options😋 Also Happy New Year to u Beto,Sarah & ur families❤️

Vada is made from White gram and not from rice.. Idly is made from both rice and White gram .. The same batter is used for dosa

You can use chutneys with the upma as well. Makes it tastier. By the way you are one of my favorite food vlogger to watch. Keep up the good work. Most people in the US don't like Sambar but it is amazing for those who like it. Also delighted to see the arrangement of the chutneys as saffron, white and green. Good looks.

All these are food from Tamil Nadu. The sambar is also eaten with rice. It is mixed with rice and eaten. And there is something called sambar vada where the vada is soaked in sambar for a long time and then eaten.

Finally dad tries south Indian food . I'm eagerly waited for this video . I enjoyed this video so much . When dad says when I come to India , I'll visit south India first , my reaction was like firstly come to my home dad . And one thing I want to say is , when you try vada next time means make sure to soak in sambar for 5 minutes and then eat it will be top notch . Lots of love to you beto and your dad . Yo you have to try gujarati food. One of my friends recommended it and I love it. It's kind of an acquired taste, but worth it. Try khaman/dhokla for sure, it's like a sweet and sour sponge.
