I think it would be cool to do Eret, considering he's really only known for betraying L'Manburg, and knowing more about motives and his continued story would be nice!
Schlatt told Quackity that a ghost that spoke spanish had a book in his pocket. Maybe mexican dream is connected to dream, and dream can use the book though him?
Since Mexican Dream is a manifestation of Dream, he carries similar items to him, since he directly mirrors Dream. Jcorpse probably said it as a joke, but then again, Mexican Dream could actually have the Revival Book. Dream also said in the prison "I have one of them anyway" in the Prison Podcast with Technoblade. He said it on purpose as well, since he corrected himself to that sentence. That means Mexican Dream could have a lot more than we know. You might think this is far fetched, but Mexican Dream is like Ghostbur in a way. Ghostbur is a being made of purely happy thoughts that Wilbur Soot had made. Mexican Dream, is a being made of pure joy and fun, something Dream left a long time ago. Now Dream hasn't died, but there's theories to how the Ghosts aren't actual ghosts, but simply manifestations of the feelings someone left behind. Ghostbur didn't seem to be like a ghost except for the Translucent skin, which could just mean he's physically made of memories, which would make sense on how he says his skin is semi-permeable. Mexican Dre is similar to that.
i always saw him as a representation of what tommy's mental state and showing how terrible dream really was. like tommy's subconscious trying to snap out of his control. like he was sent there to get get tommy to "wake up"
there are 2 things that man desires but they can only have one To Be Feared Or To Be Loved Dream And Mexican dream are the perfect examples of both opposing sides They had everything and then lost everything
The ghost Mexican dream in my opinion... might confirm the one theory that I saw that ghostbur is Wilbur's attachments, because he gave them up when he died, and that is why only ghostbur has a ghost. What if Mexican dream is dream's attachments? Like yes dream didn't lose a single life by then, but I think it's fair to say he still abandoned his attachments, and they may have potentially formed Mexican dream.
man I love mexican dream, [spoilers] after george's lore stream, it was understandable that he burned down quackity's house, he lived in el rapids and it being ruined made him snap, rip mexican dream, mans died protecting juan and mamacita
me: searches a dream analysis to watch while vibing with some popcorn youtube: hey look there's a video that has been posted some minutes ago, it's not what you wanted but... me: well why not! also yeah, i never noticed that md is not just a joke character, gg
Why is this such a meme analysis?! I can take this serious and not at the same time. Honestly though, I really like this video of underrated Mexican dream. 🤩👌
This a very unexpected and good analysis, can't believe you took this much from Mexican Dream lol When I watched his visit to Tommy in exile I thought it was some sort of (fever dream) represetation of Tommy's losing his sanity and hope and realizing how he only had Dream as a "friend" (3/4 people in the whole live were Dream variants so) Loved the video as always, can't wait to see the next one
Mexican Dream could be the Gamzee of the SMP A joke character at first who takes illegal substances but is probably the most likely to kill you if he runs out of these illegal substances.
I feel like analyzing DreamXD would be an interesting one. With whatever his relationship is with George, how he’s a god, and whatever his relationship is with Dream.
Mexican dream and mamacita were my favourite characters. Their relationship was a beautiful one and could beat any other ship in my opinion. MD and mamacita really need more attention and love they were so funny and never failed to make me laugh when they were together. Also low-key imagining how mamacita would react to MD being dead / coming back to life since she disappeared before he died Really good analysis btw
Like that one stranger you just met for an hour, but changes your life slightly or a new path. But never met them again, so... it's like that for some reason! XD
Scrawls is one of the most underrated youtubers and deserves more then the current amount of subscribers. The amount of editing in these videos is high effort and high quality.
Something I want to comment on is how Mexican Dream's visit to Tommy in exile seemed to rejuvenate him. He started standing up to Dream again for awhile. Then he got a harsh reminder of Dream's true nature. I would argue that without that visit, Tommy would have never left Logstedshire. He would have jumped off that tower, and died. In that respect, Mexican Dream is one of the most important members.
I think one about nihachu could be cool because she is such a complex character but not as many people focus on her especially her characters relationship with Wilbur and how much it was affected and changed
Tommy's only solace in the loneliness of exile, being from a homeless Mexican man who was addicted to too many things to list and didn't take the world seriously, is so perfectly ridiculous that it just _works._ It gives a light-hearted beat, if only for a day, before Dream ruins it all once again and kills him, leaving Tommy alone again.
Honestly, I always saw Mexican Dream as a sort of foil to Dream, but you explained it in such depth. Really thankful for this. Also, your videos are truly amazing (I have watched alot of analyses and yours are by far the best) and I can't wait to see which character you'll analyze next. (Please excuse any spelling mistakes, english is not my first language. So I would appreaciate if you point them out to me so I can fix them.)
Aw thank you very much! And your English is very good! The only thing is that the plural for analysis is analyses, which is kinda tricky. But otherwise you’re all good :)
I never thought to do this, but now that there is an entire video about Mexican Dream, I have to write it. - Here lies, Mexican Dream - A true friend, and like one flash of a lightning, he was gone. Killed by the man who he represented the opposite side of. May he fly high, soaring above the clouds of his forbidden fortress, Mexican l’manburg, El’ Rapids. Fly high, amigo. “ Eyyyy mamacita! It’s been so long! I missed you man.. “ _ Mexican Dream _ 2020-2020
That was simply INCREDIBLE!! can you please do a quackity character analysis next? I REALLY like his character and i would love to see you talking about him :)
The dream smp: a group of people having fun and deciding to do lore for fun The fandom: we make characters with skins like this(dream) into a super hot hunter character. This person: making a character analysis on someone we all know was created as a joke ..... Or was he....?
Ok ok ok. Like you, I actually also studied Mexican Dream and how he fit in to the plot. I'm built different, don't ask. Here's my Mexican Dream Theory, a theory I have posted on Reddit a few months ago. Now, as we know, Dream has the power of resurrection. His plan is to resurrect Wilbur to cause chaos. But what if he accidentally brought back Mexican Dream? I haven't actually finished the video tho, so I'm sorry if this is covered, rn I'm at 9:39. My post was much more in depth, but I don't have much time, so there ya go.
