It would be nice if the fuckers coming here would learn to use babel to speak english. But, nope they are not here to be part of the country they are invaders.
The best burritos can be found in the North of Mexico,. The flour tortillas are made with lard and they're silky, slightly elastic and almost see through. Also no rice in them.
@@ToastFGC sadly that is a common myth, burritos trace their point of origin to various places and times, from the way tortillas were used by the mayan civilization to how the Pueblo people used tortillas. However the term burrito has been identified as just a term for a rolled taco in the state of Guanajuato dating back to the late 1800s, giving the food a Mexican origin. What you're probably referring to are mission style burritos, invented in a California long after the birth of the original burrito.
Nah ordering at restaurants is kind of easy you can minimize the amount of vocabulary you actually need but even with a somewhat broad yet basic vocabulary you can sound like probably know more than you actually do. Once you can ask for Togo cups boxes or bags you know you’re good
"Villa Ahumada" es el lugar de los mejores burritos acá en México. Hay muchas buenas opciones pero los lugares que ofrecen burritos "estilo Villa Ahumada" son muy concurridos por que para probar los originales debes viajar y no siempre se puede dar ese gusto. Por cierto es así como los conoces, viajando. Saludos
For sure the waiter knew English lol. Reminds me of this one video I saw where a RU-vidr learned German and moved to Germany only to find out that most of them speak English too.
Bro, most servers in Mexico don't speak English or if they do it is very basic. When the dude asked for the burrito it was the simplest way to ask for it. No need for the waiter to even know English.

It’s hard to compare burritos, traditionally it’s just a flour tortilla with whatever fillings you have on hand. And these two burritos were the exact same. A mexican burrito as I know it is just meat and some sort of carb usually potatoes or it’s just beans and cheese, it’s traditionally a struggle meal and not what we have here.
@@nathanwinsor7It depends what variant of the burrito you’re talking about. The Mission Style Burrito, the most common one in the U.S. was created in Cali. But the first Burrito was created over in Mexico, in the state of Juarez
@@JFVideos960 yes I’m aware, if you read into it to be fair there is some debate, but burrito was a term used in the region for any food in a tortilla, the popularized burrito that everyone is familiar with was made in California, and yes San Diego
Burritos are more common in the north of Mexico. Here in the south, we use to eat “antojitos”, that is, fried corn dough with beans, meat (could be chicken or beef) and lots of cheese.
If you went to a 'Mexican restaurant' in México instead of going to a 'fonda', or a 'puesto', or a 'geniuine local food stand', or just anywhere where you won't find a north American, then you kinda miss something. But sure güero, enjoy your premium restaurant burrito. Which is not bad, if you want to buy a regular culture experience. You just went to a restaurant to taste something that can literally be found anywhere in México.
Answer: about five dollars. Unless, you fly to Mexico for a burrito. Then, add $400.+ I lived in LA for twelve years. Maybe you should compare burritos from LA and England or something?😂
You must understand that burritos and tacos were invented around 100 years ago. They are not really that old. There was already massive influence from Spain AND Texas was part of Mexico and heavily colonized be Europeans. So it was really Tex-Mex or fusion right from the beginning.
I am from Mexico City and when I lived in Mexico City I never heard of a food called burrito. What we eat in the center of Mexico is tacos. I came to know the burrito when I moved to California in the United States. Later I found out that it was invented in border cities like Tijuana, Sonora, because workers came to the United States their wife made burritos to take with them to eat.

I live in Juarez. The land of the burrito. In fact, next to a burrito place that participated on the guinness record for largest burrito. I have never in my life seen a burrito folded like that. Leaving aside the ok subject, if he went to a popular city for tourists, like Cancun, it's very common for the people in there to know at least English, the states that border with the USA include an English program on their school's syllabus (especially private schools), I'm not saying that everyone knows English, but you will be surprised at the number of people that are bilingual, myself included, although I'm more experienced with reading than speaking or writing.
I'm mexican, but I wouldn't eat a street taco or burrito, UNLESS it is recommended. Watch out for salmonella. Sorry to say it but many times there are zero hygienic measures, people do not wash their hands and are taking the money while preparing the food.
Original burritos in Juarez are thin, flat, with a different variety of fillings, you usually need 2 and try different ones, they use suero de queso and salsa verde, different variety of beens and queso fresco or panela which are similar or different, papa con chorizo is big in Juarez and they sell them of coolers on the roads or city corners.

As a mexican norteña, you are a little bit lost güero, but i gonna tell you in spanish, since you're interested El burrito es originario del Norte, al parecer de Chihuahua.

For anyone who doesn't know what this person is talking about, Burritos were first invented in Texas by farmers to give to laborers, and they were not good tasting. Then in Colorado the wet burrito was invented, the first decent tasting burrito. Then in San Francisco La Taqueria invented the mission style burrito which is what we call a burrito today. (Named after the mission district in SF.) The now not wet burrito was invented in San Francisco, and La Taqueria still makes the OG burrito to today, and yes it's quite good. The burrito is as American as apple pie. During the Trump administration an American moved to Mexico City. They were shocked Mexico City had not heard of the mission style burrito let alone the flour tortilla, so they opened up a stall and started selling burritos in Mexico. It was a huge hit and spread like wildfire. Today in most of Mexico you can now get a mission style burrito. edit: I'm getting lots of responses. For clarification flour tortillas were not common in Mexico City until recently. I didn't say "there are not flour tortillas in Mexico", I said Mexico City specifically. Please improve your reading comprehension people.
@@Danielle_1234the flour tortilla is just from a different Mexican region. The flour tortilla burrito you could argue was invented in the U.S. or the former Mexican region that is now the U.S.

Actually, burritos are NOT from Mexico, but instead originated in the taquerias of the Mission district of San Francisco. Aside from the Sonora region of Mexico, flour tortillas are not part of the traditional regional cuisine
@@davidnoticiero6728Thats not true tho, burritos ARE from Mexico, specifically from Ciudad Juarez... In some lady sold them, and she would use donkeys (burros) to carry the burritos from her home to where she sold them, and thats why people started calling her the "burritos" lady. Flour or tortillas de harina are also widely used in all Northern mexican states. In Chihuahua we use more flour tortillas than corn tortillas :)
Burritos are a regional dish in Mexico originating in the state of Chihuahua in the city of Juárez Mexico which is on the U.S. Mexico Border. They are not common the further south you go and basically non existent for about 80% of the country. Traditionally the filling it's simple with either a stew or meat and/or beans.

In fact, the term "gringo" was invented during that war. The mexicans that saw americans getting into the capital would yell at them "green go!" Because the americans used to have green clothes and that evolved to what we know today as gringo
