I knew from the get go that the USA were going to be spanked. Just from the anthem period.. Canadians boys were all singing no matter their singer talent they were all singing along.. contrast to the usa players nobody was singing.. and their body language was.. like some have said before.. just on cruise control.
I’ haven’t seen Mexico play like that in ages, fluke or not they look happy to play. I think the Canadians are a little over the moon rn, should be a good game and for sure will get dirty lol
Pulisic &.some of the other U.S. players went to the Kansas city Chiefs game the night before & released a video of them throwing peanuts at each others mouths. Jesse Marsch wanted 100 % focus &; wouldn't allow any Canadian players to go to the Chiefs game because he didn't want them to get distracted. That was very telling.
When we are at relative full strength and with a new coach that has had some time to implement his system, we will meet again. It will be an exciting match when that happens to be sure. I do not Bemoan this revitalized Canadian team, rather I welcome the new challenge. Concacaf gets stale when one team consistently dominates.

If Alistair Johnston is out of the lineup, I think we could be vulnerable to the Mexican attack. I'm sure we'll have a few new starters and we'll see if they can come together and play the way Jesse wants (which is lots of running, possession oriented, high press).

Ngl Romo can be solid in a 5 back formation as the 6 and edson as a CB/Sweeper/destroyer. I don't rate romo at all but I think he does his job has good physicality and can send decent long balls. I just feel the team would advance the ball better with him or Ambriz at the 6. Edson doesn't need to be playmaking imo I want him between johan and montes.
@@KingofLatveriaMexico is definitely not better and we still need to demonstrate a lengthier period of success to be the undisputed top dog. That said, I expect Marsch will play more bench tomorrow and not be up for this game like he was against the US

OK dude it’s not like Mexico. Did it beat Canada several times in World Cup qualifying😂 that was 2 years! Mexico's prime ended 6 years ago🙏💀. But today we are definitely playing better than the USA.
Unfortunately that won't happen due to FIFA's flawed ranking system. I agree we need to prove a lengthier period of sustained succes but we're definitely even with them currently
