Must have several thou of interference fit on those collars for them to need that much heat to get them on. Of course I guess it is holding the whole rear wheel on right?

Is there a way around if no torch is available for the collar? I’m pretty sure my little map torch won’t get it red hot! Thanks for the vid.

If you put the bearing rings in the freezer for two hours, then you can simply insert them by hand.
