This is the biggest and strongest magnet mount on the market. Strong construction. 1/4” triangular steel plate with 3 five inch diameter magnets. 3/8” 24 threads for your antenna. Great for Ham and CB.
Awesome product and reasonable price.

I was gonna get one of these for my van a 2004 transit connect (Torneo) it has a corregated roof, so a single mag mount doesn't sit right. But I would never get this thing off the roof again! 🤣 Thanks for the video 👍 🇺🇲🇬🇧

Honestly I couldn’t pull it off. That is why I used a metal shelf. To slide it off.

Thumbs up! Thanks for the mag mount videos. I'm trying decide between a single 5 inch mount or a triple 5 inch setup to use on my 2011 Chevy Impala for the trunk or roof locations. I'm going run a 3 ' Firestik for most use, but would like to experiment with taller antennas up to 102" whip (stationary/not moving for tallest antennas). Have you had a single mag mount come loose or move around while moving in your vehicle or from windy conditions while sitting still? Has your Stryker mount ever come off? I've read many comments on single mag mounts coming off vehicles with anything taller than 3' antenna. The brands I'm looking at for single or triple mounts are Tram and MFJ. Thanks for your efforts!

Mr. WheelSpin1320, I have never had the striker come off while driving 100 mph down the NJ turnpike. 😂. Whip on that is 66”. The only thing that would knock it off is not being aware of you too clearance. Thick lower tree branches on roads, or low bridges sure would take it off. Don’t forget drive throughs. So be careful. The single 5 inches will work for 7 foot ham sticks. Just need to mind your clearance like I said. If you want the 102 whip. I highly suggest to use the three magnets. Also please put the spring in the mount first then the antenna on the spring. This will ensure that any low obstacles will allow the whip to bend out of the way brother. I hope this helps you in your antenna mounting experiments. “Keep playing with those radios & antennas .” Have fun. And 73.

Help me out. I think there is a tram 3500? That’s a 55” whip. I could be wrong on the model number. But look for that one to try. It’s good. Eric at Farpoint Farms RU-vid channel have a review on that Tram. Good luck 🍀

What is the height of the mag mount without the antenna mounted?

Less than 3 inches. Low profile without antenna attached. Good morning. 73

@@mikecricket113 hold on to your hat; lol. I drive a truck and run a magnet mount K30. I’ve always wanted more antenna, and I thought adding a ground plane would help, so I devised a plan that included 3 of the magnets you use to attach an oversized banner to a bumper (the kind with the wing nuts) and put them on a 6” triangular steel plate. I thought “boom, I’ve cracked it!” Then I turned on RU-vid and got my heart broke. Oh well. Apparently, it’s a good idea; just not an original one. Live and learn.

102 whip fit on this?
@mikecricket113
@mikecricket113 Год назад
Yes sir. But I would suggest putting a spring that’s 3/8 24 thread into them out first then put your 102” on to the spring. That way if you hit any trees or low bridges. The whip will have some play and not snap off. Also the mount is extremely difficult to remove from the metal surface you may wish to put it on. So be careful not to scratch your vehicle. Center of the roof would be the optimal location. But you can decide what is best for you. Thank for your question. 73.
