The very best fragrance review channel to me so far, no hype just reality and his taste is very close to me, I do prefer Grand Soir a little bit over Creation-E
I agree on both points. I love this channel! I also own Grand Soir and Creation-E and agree that Grand Soir is the superior scent although I wear them for different occasions. Creation-E is good for a night out at the bar and Grand Soir is better for a date. The ladies do seem to prefer Grand Soir between the two. :)
@@billgambrel I'd agree with you assuming you're talking about the Parfum Cologne concentration of Creation E. The pure Parfum concentration of it is something else 😍. Grand Soir can't touch it.
I disagree with the popular opinion that this is a 'simple' fragrance, I think it is very multifaceted and if FK had presented a pyramid with another 15 notes added it would have had a different reception. One of the few MFK offerings that are worth the money imo.
Incredibly penetrating scent. Officially was one of my favourite ambers when I was just starting out. Not as much character as some others though. Lovely evening fragrance.
@@UrbanDwellerNYC I'll be honest, it changes every other cool month. Right now, I'm digging Ambra Aurea from Profumum Roma and Fort & Manle's Amber Absolutely. The latter is more of a resplendent autumn old-school frag, but both are great.
@@LeBeautiful Ambra Aurea is still up there, along with Ambre d'Alexandrie, Mitzah and Tango. The incense-ambers used to be top for me but they just got boring. 😕 Everything in moderation.
Really cool seeing your collection/taste develop as feel have similar preferences. Have you tried M Micallef at all? I tried Royal Vintage: it's like a smokey Frapin Orchid Man or Floris 1976. But would be interested to hear your thoughts if you ended up sampling them.
You have to get your nose on Ambre Sultan. A masterpiece. Set some money aside because once you go through a decant you will want to order a 100 ml bottle.
This is the only amber vanilla fragrance that I think is worth the money. It was definitely a date night fragrance and something I wouldn't wear daily.
If you haven’t try Absolue Pour Le Soir then try it, Thats the older sister of Grand Soir but unfortunately its discontinued but i think you can still find it thru preloved discounted shops. Ciel de Gum is kinda like spicy and more Balsamic than Grand soir so there is nothing similar between the two.
Grand Soir to me leans masculine. For some reason it makes me nauseous 😕 I had blind purchased the 6.8 oz bottle from Neiman Marcus going by many, many reviews. I was sure I would love it. I had to return it.
The price being high is not en excuse not to buy this perfume. There are fragrances out there 3-4 times more expensive than this and that smell horrible. This is done by legend my friend
Kurdjian elevated to the sky by creating the J.P.Gaultier original "le male", he is now Artistic Director at Dior Perfume...his first creation is Sauvage EAU FORTE, which is a total failure worldwide...and he upgraded the "private collection" from Dior from parfum to.... extrait de parfum, much pricey, WITHOUT CHANGING A THING....👎
I think grand soir can easily be worn by a man but I have to agree with you on most of their stuff. Baccarat isn’t that tough to pull off as a man either
Recommend you stop putting the bottles in front of the camera. Always out of focus, hard on the eyes, and it is easy enough to see in your hand. Enjoy the channel. Rosendo Mateu No 5 is the best Amber in my opinion.
