I had one of those - PVM 361R. I converted it to chrome bumpers because I didn't much care for those rubber bumpers. Have fun with your lovely little car.
Just a little tip from an old midget geezer. I installed in the boot a shut off valve for the petrol supply. When leaving the car it added aditional protection against the thief
I never drive mine with the roof on, one, I can’t get into it or out, and two, it’s cut too short and takes me at least 20 minutes to fit. Apart from these downsides it is a great car in the summer and drives well. By the way mine is yellow, and looks good with the big black bumpers.
yellow does work well in these little cars, the roof we find really easy but it is not the most pleasant thing to be in when the roof is up, however we have recently been on a 300+ mile trip round wales and actually it wasn't to bad, but i agree its not easy to get out of when the roof is up. Thank you for the comment.
@@rustenuts Hi, as stated will be collecting my midget soon, it's had a recon James Searle engine fitted, still 9 months warranty, do you think it will be ok to drive 74 mile on the motorway to get home. Value your advice Cheers Anthony 🤔
@@penguinpeter6912hi Pete, we have driven it on the motorway, try not to when we can avoid it as it’s very noisy at high speeds but we have tended to stick at lorry speed and it’s not too bad at all, just a bit boring, thanks. (I’m Mrs Rustenuts by the way, Liams better half 😉)
Hi, just got my 1st midget, you said you have a selection of press studs for yhe roof, om missing a few, were can i get them, and what are they called please Cheers Anthony Liked the f Vlog, hope i can get in and out lol
Hi thank you for the comment, the part you need very much depends where it is on the roof, there is different styles so its hard to answer, however i get all my info for part numbers from Moss motors www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-model/mg/midget/weather-equipment/hoods-hood-frames-fittings/hood-frame-fittings-sprite-iv-midget-iii-1500-1966-79.html That link should take you to the right part of the page. You can click on the little images and it will take you straight to the part number you need. hope that helps. Cheers
Hi danahillebrand2535! Thank you for watching the video. For touch ups you can purchase from Moss Europe or Rimmer Bros. Not something I have used but they stock it. Alternatively you could try eBay, it will be cheaper but again I couldn't tell you what the quality is like. If you know the paint code it will make it alot easier. Moss have a full list of colours by the car model.
Interesting point Peter! I wouldn't be hanging around that's for sure 😁 Very pleased to know smart motorway roll outs are stopping however it doesn't help with the ones we already have!
