Great work! Really interesting to see the internals and build quality, which seems amazing at this price point. Much attention to detail with clips and fastening of cables, dampening and clearly a lot of quality checks judging by the markings. In my experience and by subjective evaluation (we have MG4), the door cards are a contributor to the muffled factory sound. Biggest quick improvement would be to build real speaker grilles rather than the integrated ones we have, and to add more dampening and isolation. A door card is not supposed to be a speaker box, but on many cars it is.

Don't forget to add the remote bass knob. Make sure your rca cables are not being crushed by the rear seat frame. You might try running the rear door speakers off the factory amplifier so that you can retain fader control. Rarely do you want the rear speakers as loud as the front.

Very nice and neat setup. Interesting to see how you dismantled and mounted back all the panels and insulated the doors ❤. I would personnaly use thicker wires in all doors (2.5) as yours seems a bit thin (0.75 or 1mm2 i would guess from the video), put washers under the oval speakers nuts (this composite material tends to crack over time, especially with strong vibrations), add an extra layer of wood under oval speakers panel for rigidity, add a 1 or 2 farad super capacitor on the battery (see upgrade the poor and small factory lead battery as your setup is quite power hungry), and surely weld all connectors as those crimped ones are a real crap for audio quality and reliability. Just my way of doing, don't take it wrong, your installation is great and i am sure it runs really good.

Very nice job! The underhood fuse holder should always be a waterproof design. If not, corrosion can be an issue. The factory music source has built in DSP (EQ curves, time delay and maybe all pass filters) to make the factory speakers sound better. When you swap speakers that can make the new speakers sound worse, not better. Typically you would remove all the factory DSP to get back to a flat signal and then apply new processing. An aftermarket DSP that can do both will greatly improve sound quality. Or a device like the Kicker KEYLOC can remove all the factory processing and then a traditional DSP can reduce everything.

Really nice build and super great video! I would have skipped the 6"x9"s on the rear shelf, though - and maybe even the rear door speakers - and installed even fancier front door speakers for the money saved! So how does it sound? Are you pleased!?

Hi Malaka.. I tryed to install Focal Flax EVO PS165FXE 2-way with stetsom or audison digital amps, and it doesn't work. We get like a magnetic puls almost like when you check polarity on the speakers with a 9v battery (it moves a lot) I tryed to draw a separat power + & - direct to the battery on the outside of the car. I connected hi in from the same green Conector on the org amp FL + WhiteYello - WhiteBrown FR + WhiteOrage - WhiteGreen I have mg4 standard. No speakers in rear doors...

Also, what is the insulation you used? Can you please provide a link so we can check out the specs and maybe buy some? Cheers!
