MG42, "Hitler's Buzzsaw", fired 7.92mm ammunition at a rate of roughly 1200 to 1500 rounders per minutes. By comparison the Vickers and Browning machine guns of the era fired at a rate closer to around 600 rounds per minute. The downside of course was that it tended to chew through ammunition very quickly. Due to the weapon having a tendency to superheat and wear out barrels quickly, the quick change barrel mechanism was simplified to where it could easily be done in a few seconds. The MG3 machinegun, which is still in use worldwide, is a descendant of the weapon which looks quite similar in appearance.

@@sound_illusion another weapon stil being used is the gustav sub machine gun which is a ww2 german weapon, modernized but how can u improve on perfection? it is used by irish army and british sas spec ops

The close-up machine gun fire stops it being relaxing for me. The rest of it i.e. scenery, background battle sounds etc. Is a masterpiece. I especially like the background radio, great touch.

Im not sure what it is or how it's possible, but theres something calming about the distant gunfire and explosions with interrupting machinge gun fire, still wouldnt wanna be in that post tho

Hell yeah this is the shit I want to see, but more distant gunfire and immersive feeling. Hitlers buzzsaw sounding like an angry bumble bee also hard to sound design, it would sound different than this hollywood sound. Good video, I get real old COD vibes or that one saving private ryan scene where its beginning to rain and that german guy is telling the americans to surrender(before the sniper scene) A lot of reloading to, It's alright I'm critising to much 🤓 Please make more of these! I really like your work! I'd like to hear your rendition of the Normandy landings. So the sound of the sea mixes with distant shots. What do you think about this idea?

Hello, thank you for the feedback 😀 and I have been asked quite a few times now to do a d day ambience and I will get round to doing it sometime soon so do keep an eye out for that. And your spot on about the sounds of sea waves mixing in with artillery, absolutely will have all of that plus more 3D bullet whizzes around you hitting the water the sound of mg42 across the beach ripping everyone to shreds etc✔️
