I believe that I played this long ago. It really took me back to a simpler time. The video is fantastic for a pilot. No confusion, very straight forward. You're a natural Mike. Congratulations
@@mikesgaminggala - what is the final boss; did I miss it in the video? I just saw that machine that created a bunch of robots; do you fight the machine at the end?
I'm having an interesting problem, Mike, that I'd like you to comment on. When I'm down to the last robot and he fires, I either can't move or it's like I have cement shoes and can almost never avoid the fire. With invincibility mode, I've managed to get to the boss fight, but again the moment he and his robots appear, I either can't move or I move like a snail and can't defend myself. I have tried both the original controller and the Long Play and this condition still occurs. Is this behavior normal?
Hmmmm... I've never experienced that! There's definitely slowdown at the boss, but I never felt stuck. Do you have another Intellivision you could try it on?
@@mikesgaminggala LOL. I do have another INTV, but that would mean stopping the game and starting all over again. I'm not done punishing my arthritic hands. I keep hoping I'll get lucky, And then to top it off, I just broke the joystick on my Long Play Controller. I probably am going to have to stop though. My hands are hurting pretty bad. I've tried so long to beat the boss that I've reached 287,450 points. If you have any further tips, I'd be thrilled to hear them.
Well I lapped the score counter, and have learned a few tricks along the way, but the boss robots are always too fast. I don't believe I've ever killed more than 8 at one time and I think that had more to do with luck than skill. When the robots are three times as fast as you and you beam in with them often already on top of you and already shooting, you're right. It does want to make you throw your controller. The other challenging aspect is that you can't shoot again until your shot clears the screen while they seem to be able shoot multiple shots at a time. Oh well, I'll give my hands another 24 to 48 hours to recover and try again. I just hope there are no power outages. 😉
You're not going to believe this. I must be a prophet. Two days after my post and the power went out for 1/2 a second and the game was gone. Ugh! I did, however, get to try it in my other INTV and still had the same challenges. I won't be home for awhile; so the game will now have to wait until I get back.
To the best of my knowledge, Elektronite isn't selling the ROM yet. However previous games have gotten that treatment over time, so who knows. This would only be playable in the Jzintv emulater though, because it uses JLP cart tech.
@@mikesgaminggala Also, Elektronite usually will provide a rom only if you have the LTO Flash cart as they can code the rom to only work with your specific cart.
