There's something really touching about seeing MGMT go through so many periods of cynicism towards the music industry and world to coming out with such a pleasant song about appreciating the friendship you've carried through it all. It's so easy to give in to our pain and frustrations but this is a great reminder (at least for me) that there's more to life than that.

I remember listening to mgmt "kids" the first time smoking weed in my bedroom in 2008, living a rough reality, it always took me to a happy go lucky party mentality. 15 years later I'm still loving their music & smoking weed/drinking with my wife in our bedroom in a much better place now. Life's wild & having wild musicians like mgmt makes the ride so much better.

It reminded me so much of one of my favorite Beatles deep cuts Only A Northern Song with their little bits of musique concrète as they fade out. As a progressive rock and psychedelia fan I also really enjoy Siberian Breaks and Metanoia cause they both scratch my brain in just the right spots y’know lol

by far their best work on the album. simple yet powerful in messaging and melancholic. don't get me wrong, the other tracks are fantastic, but they explore more complexities in love and self-consciousness that have often been overdone in other songs. this touches a topic that is never really explored much: friendship. their friendship.

the first single from all of MGMT album's since i was a kid (13) has made me cry with joy. i will never forget the first time i heard Electric Feel. now, I'm 30 & with a son. The production on this is super interesting and impressive. Might not seem so at first but there's so much to dig into, and in such a short song as well. It's fresh and new, yet feels unmistakably like MGMT. I love it!

yesss..the song structure is also a trip.. so are some of the seemingly simple progressions. there's a lot more happening under this song than what appears on the surface.

I don't understand how anyone can be so talented and make such sublime music every time. I know it's not easy and they put a lot into it, it's clear they put a lot into this. But when I make music it can feel so artificial. This type of music is timeless. This music is from a place outside of time itself.

So glad they are have retained the services of one Patrick Wimberly (there he is at 2:05). If this fifth studio album is as good as Little Dark Age, I will squee!! Also this statement today from the band is great: “Musically speaking, we are running at around 20% adult contemporary and no more than this, please.”
