I was always sad to see Kevin take all the credits for the band. finally everyone is getting the recognition they deserve!

I saw tame impala 2013 in Dallas. They opened up for the national and put on a phenomenal show. I remember they played this song and Kevin did a solo at the end and weaved it into Enders toi. It was PHENOMENAL. It was unfortunate because the crowd wasn’t into them and he could tell. I remember him saying that they will hurry up and end their set so that everyone could see the national. I left after they were done. They were outside loading up. I spoke with Kevin and got a picture with him. He’s seriously the nicest dude ever.

I regret the moments where I felt sad and said "why won't they talk to me" thinking I needed them when in reality all I needed was myself. Now I love my own company and appreciate more the people that actually care about me not only about themselves. Sadly the worst happened to me to open my eyes. Thank you Kevin for this song.

I’m 32 now , I have a family and a child, I’m not listen so much music as I used to when I was a student, only the radio occasionally, but this song turns me to time when I’m 20 and I felt lonely and melancholy, like I’m still there

One thing that i didn’t really notice in the song before I watched this video was how progressively throughout the song, the amount of “Kevins” increases. I really appreciate this, since not only does it create a nice crescendo towards the end, but also it feels like the room that the song takes place in is his head, and progressively throughout the song, it feels like he tries to fill that space with himself to solve his loneliness, but it appears to only amplify the feeling of loneliness. An interesting detail that just kinda clicked with me

I listened to Lonerism a lot during college because every song *spoke* to me during those hard times. I've always felt like an outcast at school, so it felt comforting knowing that someone as cool as Kevin felt this way too. Fast forward to The Slow Rush, i love it how not only did he experiment with his music production--but with his general view of life as well. Back then, I honestly felt like a lonely piece of shit who clinged onto the past for nostalgia's sake. So to hear Kevin say "it might be time to face it, you ain't as cool as you used to be" felt like a reality check. It's like you can see the growth in each album and it feels so authentically relatable. Thanks for posting this song again, I feel a sense of relief knowing that I no longer look to others for validation.

Got my best friend tickets for tame impala and I surprised her w it on top of a mountain on Christmas Day while off molly 2 years ago. They postponed the show because of COVID and finally after years tonight they’re playing near me, but I sold the tickets this morning. Listening to this makes me regret it. I should’ve gone alone tonight to the concert, damn.. I wish my ex best friend the best in life. I hope that she’s happier with him than she ever was with me regardless of how much I sacrificed and how much pain she decided to put me through..At least then my suffering was worth something other than myself …
