Just putting this comment here to say thank you for not showing the final boss in the thumbnail or title, it really means a lot to people who don’t want it spoiled. We really appreciate it.
Can we appreciate the fact that Canta did not spoil the final boss appearance in the thumbnail like some random content creators out there? Truly an OG
can we just appreciate the advancements of the dragonators through the years from fortress mounted spikes to ship-borne harpoons and now long-range precision strikes
@@flallana18 they're kinda on their way there tho. The 3rd Dragonator from the cutscene has explosive charges at the back. Give them a few years and we got something like rows and rows of massive Dragonator ballistas each with explosive charges
@@deojxd4101 Use Valstrax engines to send satellites into orbit with Project Thor, the USAF idea of launching tungsten rods to earth. Dragonators from space... As early as Gen 4?
"If I had a nickel for every time a 5th gen expansion boss was a creepy looking subterranean Elder Dragon with wingarms I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice."
Interesting that Malzeno was essentially aiming for a war of attrition, interfering with the Qurios to try and starve its competitor. The game of life is always so intricate.
@@LeondreWilsono0o The Qurios drain energy and return it to their host (Gaismagorm). Gaismagorm wants their energy so it can surface and wreak havoc. But if Malzeno keeps the Qurios away from it, then Gaismagorm gets no energy and potentially starves to death. Malzeno's playing smart. It's not going to take that behemoth on in a straight fight, not when it can just cut off its food supply.
@@josefbajarias3109 Seems to be the case. Bahari mentions the story's conflict is essentially a prolonged turf war between the two. With its size and power, Gaismagorm could have crushed the Kingdom, but Malzeno's pressure kept it at bay.
@@ES-dp6tw well should the kingdom be gratefull to Malzeno for that reason? I mean yes its still an Elder Dragon but its behavior surely keeps Elgado from a greater danger
this has to be the most unlucky final boss monster in monster hunter history. Drilled by dragonators 4 times in a row, people from Algado are absolute savages.
@@johncronk8867 The thing literally opens up craters the size of mountains just to send hordes of life sucking Qurio to the surface in order to eat up entire regions of life to sustain itself. This thing is a danger to life itself
Yeah! The split jaws of Otachi so iconic. Shin Godzilla, Ibushi, Narwa all of them inspired from That Pacific Kaiju But I believe Gaismagorm -Split Jaws looks more like Demogorgon splits jaws
Yeaa, that is my first impression of it as well. It looks like Otachi with Leatherback arms! Not to mention that it came from down below the earth or perhaps the rift 👀
@@smugofbishamonten1447 Exactly, Galleus has the BALLS to go against an elder dragon that made Malzeno run for his money and was even able to push him back. That is good story writing. Don't just let the main character handle it all, let the side characters have their time to shine.
@@edwarddanza5468 You can also see Bahari and Galleus standing in the edge of the cliff during the start of the fight. They're watching you and sending down support, and Fioryane there too. I really liked that this fight felt like a team effort.
Thanks for not spoiling people , and first i thought that boss is on the weaker end all the endbosses but now that I watched the fight more closely it's quite epic.
I enjoy watching good fights and skillful players. Here's a sub. It won't do much but you've gained my utmost respect and a following fan. Thank you too for not spoiling the monster's appearance on the thumbnail bud. Really means a lot.
So Rise had the whole eastern demon thing and now Sunbreak is all about western demons and the final boss is just straight up Satan crawling out of hell
This fight is almost similar to Keoaruboru from MH Frontier. Both have a rather 'tame' design, both took place in a small arena, these 2 have a massive size almost as big as the arena itself and both have insane fire attack aoe
Cant tell which is cooler, this or SafiJiva with the fucking heartbeat in his final stand. Shura was pretty good too. MHW and MHR knocked it out of the park with cool final bosses.
@@tochinomasuta4600 and baphomet is a demon not the devil. It's like how Malzeno is a Vampire themed monster and not a Dracula themed one. This guy is a demon themed monster deriving from multiple demonic/hellish creatures including the devil but isnt just based on the devil himself
@@potatoexe5410 He's known as a arch demon and a devil, he's also within the abyss, he even has a pentagram for a maw, he as aspects of the Christian devil, he also is found within a watery abyss, and has an army of insects that absorb life, another parallel he is a red dragon and he also is grounded and slithers on his belly similar to the snake from the garden of Eden when it was punished it lost it's legs
@@potatoexe5410 nah his really like the devil. His title was the arch demon of the abyss. The final phase looks like your fighting him in hell and he has wings of fire, and his ultimate attack has the morning star in it, he looks like a boss fight from devil may cry
Ohh I just started the expansion but seeing as I'm eating breakfast rn and too lazy to pick up my switch, ima watch this instead. And hopefully remember details that won't get me carted on the first try
This battle feel sooo amazing, frontier level with some DMC on it, I love what the Monster Hunter team did with sunbreak so far, great gameplay Canta 👏👏👏👏👏
@@HPMCCPooTis Honestly it sort of looks like what would be the evolutionary midpoint between the "Gore" skeleton Dragons (Shara, Xeno/Safi'jiva, The Magallas.etc) and the Akantor skeleton monsters as the Akantor/Ukanalos are supposed to be Flying Wyverns,
@@Alovon Akantor and Ukanlos are normal flying wyverns. They just abandoned flight for larger sizes. It's more apt to think of them as larger and more specialized Tigrex than some mid-way result of two completely unrelated groups.
This new boss kinda feels similar with Gogmazios and Dire miralis at the same time with wing arms like Gog and the Magalas to help it move around but can't fly like Dire because the lack of wings membrane. Though I'd say this guy definitely still weaker and slightly smaller(by seer size not length) comparrd to those 2.
Thats the impression i get as well. Essentially Gogmazios mixed with Akantor. However i think that Gogmazios still holds the position of best siege battle, since this monster...i dont know, he feels a bit...odd.
I was kinda confused about its design at first but after watching it a couple of times and thinking about where it lives I can say it went from "meh" to one of my favorite new designs, the fight seems great as well.
Soo Malzeno is Vampire Garangolm is Frankenstein Lunagaron is Werwolf This is.... Zombies? Or Kaiju? I thought Zombies because its back legs and Wing Arm look deformed and the relationship with the Qurio leeches are way different than Malzeno who is taking them away from it by force Kaiju because, That Mouth and Phase 2 lmao
Looks more like the devil to me. The Devil like face and skull structure. The fire and brimstone. and him coming from the 'underworld' pretty much seals the deal.
it's called a demon a bunch, archdemon as well in the armor set. and it lives in a pit and is covered in fire. even has wings that no longer fly, like it's been cast down. makes sense as dracula gets his power from the occult/the devil, this monster and malzeno both use the same red quiro just to different degrees. and the jaw thing, reminds me of blade 2 where the super vampires jaws work like that.
After all the insane power-creep the game went through with its Title Updates, it's a shame that we never got a Hazard quest with this guy. He's a pretty quick kill with Anomaly Level 241+ sets.
I think it’s good design but I mean obviously if it were that size standing by upright and could fly it would be crazier. But it did a good job showing it was a ground type monster built for digging and it was cool seeing it go into 2nd phase but as a final boss idk I expected something different. It was just a weird change from malzeno and shagaru too this. But it does remind me of other end game bosses from world. The weirdness of xeno and shara is quite similar in portrayal and also ground type digger. The size and look were cool but I guess it’s just not what I expected. Like zorah 🤣
@@edwarddanza5468 I like xenos design better and his powers and his fight made sense he was clumsy but slowly getting use to his powers. I think it was a well designed fight. I think gorm was more hectic and engaging though. Shara was a great spectacle no one expected what it ended up being after the rock form. And had the most unique power of all elders so far. Neither had you know the siege part of actively stopping it’s escape or designators of course. But the fights were still well designed as non sieges. Gorm is a siege fight so there’s a difference of course.
@@david_8916 sadly it was as you can see with the attention it got compared to World, some of the stuborn fans praying that they got a cartoony and mobile game like old times got what they wanted but they sacrificed a lot and was seen as a step-down with the progress they made with world and iceborne (and the failed Rampage). I really hope the next one follows the example of World
