I use to watch your runs back in MH4u. Then I suddenly remembered you again after seeing videos of the new MH Rise SB release. Haha.. still badass as always!
Your speedrun is amazing. Your videos are encouraging me to try out something new since Im a dual blades main. I dont have attack 4 on my talisman but I have chain crit 2 with 3-1. Looking forward for your polished version.
I know the playstyle is probably pretty simple for what you've shown here, but seeing this kinda makes me want to pick up DB again after so long. I like the "Easy to learn hard to master" playstyles and I never got into DB during Rise but I did near the end of the lifecycle for World when Fatalis first came out way back when and I really enjoyed it.
"Easy to learn and hard to master" sums it up pretty well. You're in essence just spamming the jump attack but there's still some nuance to it, like knowing when you want to descent earlier to be ready to deal with the next attack or when to be in/out of demon mode to replenish stamina or reposition and that's something that I myself am still in the process of learning since I've been avoiding DB for the most part in base Rise
@@CantaPerMe in mh4u it was the demon attack that let's you run straight forward while attacking, i dont know how to explain. But it basically was OP when you mastered it
Demon dance is still superior when it comes to raw damage paired with piercing bind. But this is a speedrun and elemental has been buffed to all hell in Sunbreak + spiral slash (drill) synergizes well with elemental damage.
So if you don't wanna build 5 different builds for being a DB main, you can do a raw build and use piercing bind and demon dance and still do pretty massive damage.
@@jeslan9773 Probably going with the 5 different builds, spiral slash feels more fluid against most monsters compared to piercing bind. But you're totally right.
@@Brutetank same HAHA. I've been a DB main for so long and I've always done builds for all different situations. The only games where I only had one build was World (cause I personally found the DB gameplay boring, sadly) and Rise (cause raw was just too superior from anything else.)
@@jeslan9773 I feel that haha. I some how went from maining gunlance for the entirety of Rise and now suddenly use DB as my main so far for the story. It is definitely smoother now than it was back in Freedom
I've got a question, why are you using the Hunting Petalace? Between the Absolute and Underworld Petalace, the only case you would use a rarity 6 one is the Demon one for its attack boost, and the two rarity 7 ones combined are superior to the non-Demon ones.
Demon (as you said) is weaker than the other two options in everything but attack but what matters for someone trying to be as fast as possible is really just speed (aka more Attack)
Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't running normal demon mode be better since.. 1. Archdemon mode fills up twice as fast, getting the elemental damage boost even quicker. 2. It'll boost elemental damage instead of raw which scales much better with spiral slash.
And deactivating auto wyvern ride so you can do more spiral slashes I think would suffice enough damage instead of wall banging.. unless the auto down after that gives more damage potential overall.
I just did the doulbe crab follower quest with DB today and the hunt was over in no time. You can almost just spam demon flight into spiral slash into their faces and there is nothing they can do. I wonder if it will be changed in future patches, it seems kinda broken on the crabs.
Canta I need a lil help. I use the Magmadron DB for fire and it has good white. Is it worth trying to get to purple with Handicraft then use Protective Polish or do you lose too many valuable slots?
He didn't evade it you can see his health go down. shogun ceanataur just has barely any knockback on some of its claw moves. its kinda disorienting when you hunt it casually and your health just dissappears randomly
Piercing bind is superior when it comes to raw damage paired with demon dance. But elemental damage wise, spiral slash alone is pretty good. And quicker to pull off and this is a speedrun so the quicker the better.
I'm a bit disappointed in dual blades right now, because I'm not a fan of aerial styles - think about MHXX, there are so many other styles better than aerial one. Guess it's not for me to play db in mhrise.
