why do you use the rath mail and soul beta head? i dont feel like using a whole head slot is worth for +5% crit damage bonus is worth it, as apposed to using the dragon king eyepatch for the 2 exploit weakness and using an attack up chest instead, can you elaborate on your decision?
Thomas A wtf lol do your own videos lol can you show us with a video how is your choice any better, I wanna see your skills. Please show us, we need more pros
Uncle Zen - Woah there cowboy, who shat in your fruit loops this morning? Dude has a legit curiosity over the armor choices, slow your fuckin' roll on the hostility bus
I used to get hit a lot then someone told me it was a big ass fighting game. Learned monster animations and how to punish and read. Now I barely get hit but I still haven't figured out how to fight some monsters during their spam phases. Plus I only know 1 weapon and it's the most mobile of them all. My uncle who I hunt with, were the same age, started using the lance for it's defense. I prefer when he goes with the hammer I stat with the health boosts and powders for mid fight buffs
It's funny how all weapons seem viable in the hands of someone who knows how to use them. I had to use a lance in an arena battle. I couldn't for the life of me fathom how someone could actually take down stronger monsters with it. But here you go.
Lance is probably the easiest weapon to take down monsters once you get good with it, it's very safe and can dish out very consistent damage, but it has a learning curve, like all weapons do.
Chris Brock I have actually went back to the Lance. I'm pretty good at it now. I'm not as good as I am with the Gunlance, but I can understand it's viability now. There's definitely a learning curve. Man this game is awesome.
10 minutes? Toaster was chasing my LS around Elder's Recess for 20 minutes before he decided he had enough and gone to sleep .. meanwhile i chugged through my 15th megapotion And that was a regular toaster, solo tempered was a 50 minutes of futile struggle and waste of resources
Raymond Li Well to be honest people can main all weapon its just people have Oppinion on them And to be honest i can use GS but i dont want to use it that much because *insert cliché oppinion about GS*
Who's gonna win: a dragon who's been around probably probably hundreds of years, and have command over fire, tempered by many countless battles; or a pokey boy with a shield?
Nice run. Your armor set is similar to mine. I'm using: Dragonking Eyepatch - Critical Jewel Kaiser Mail b - Ironwall Jewel 2x Kaiser Vambraces b - Critical Jewel Kaiser Coil b - Elementless Jewel Dober Greaves b - Ironwall Jewel Attack Charm Skills: Master's Touch Attack Boost 5 Weakness Exploit 3 Guard 3 Critical Boost 2 Non-elemental Booost
So Odogaron is the best non 8 rarity lance to augment? I main lance, and have been lucky enough to get all my warrior streamstones for it, but all the good lances seem to be rarirty 8 so I need Hero's streamstones. great video btw C:
When you're so good you use rock steady instead of the weed aroma. Wait... I forget or idek... You can get to be able to use two support items? Weed aroma and rock steady? 👌🏾
+albert pinontoan Yeah, I've played a fair bit of Lance over the course of the last month as well. I would probably do the same thing. In this situation, it was 90% for adjusting the facing angle and the additional damage from doing a super block - attack is a cherry on top.
Nah, I just figured there'd be a good synergy between Teostra's set bonus and Odo's lance having natural white sharpness and high affinity, making it easier to maintain sharpness
Hey Canta, dont know if you´ll read this, but why not go for the Water Lance (3 Augments possible) and it deals an insane amount of damage to Teostra. You´d miss out on the White Sharpness tho.
CantaPerMe agreed but situationally it can be a nice bonus and fun to play with. The lance has positive 15 affinity, good blue sharpness with room for a chunk of white?. Built in “critical status” skill. 414 and 270 blast the one augment slot holds it back, as well as the lower raw unfortunately. Not how sure how high the blast gets with blast attack
I don't understand why on these uploads monsters are like KO ed half the fight time , i hit teostra only on weakspots all day too , i get "maybe" a KO (using lance) , while Canta gets like 5 KOs , still very good run.
matyvalien probably a mix of evasion mantle buff, impact mantle (think that got him 3 kos), the guaranteed white crits and teo having a low def modifier (probably 100 or 120%)
he didin't use impact mantle tho , still thanks for answers guys ^^ I guess monster patterns change on every hunt , sometimes i kill them very fast too
A KO is caused by impact damage to the head and is recognised by stars above the head. Hammer, HH, and shield bashes do impact damage, so what he did wasn't KO'ing as thrusts do slicing damage. Teostra just falls over when you hit the head enough - he didn't KO it.
So when you'd flinch his head, and he would do the breath attack, the hitbox was for ranged users, completely missing you since you were right under his chin?
If you want to get slightly faster on lance, give the cancelling a shot over backhopping. R2+Circle briefly will cancel the counter into another standing circle attack at the end of your circle/triangle. Backhopping definitely still handy to relocate since you always push forward, but the cancel will certainly help you to speed things up.
Think you mean "are* very similar," bud. And while they are similar, one repositions you and takes a teensy bit longer, and isn't always the best for targetting the weak spots. r2 canceling will eventually push you forward, at which point you then do 1 backhop.
Thanks for the correction of my sentence. What you said are indeed informative, but it still does not change the point I made, it would not speed things up in this case. Canta was pretty much always hitting the weak spots.
Think you meant "is" indeed informative. Also my dude, you're missing the point that it's overall faster to R2 Cancel, then backstep after you've been push forward. Yeah, you target the weak spot either way, but backstepping has more frames than R2 cancelling. Can't change the fact that it's quicker. There's also the added safety of the R2 cancel becoming a counter attack if the monster attacks you during it, since not everyone plays evade lance (default s during backhop are not that long at all).
I've seen enough of these videos that the question begins to knack me, is World proving to be an easier installment of the series, or is there more specific parts of the game that properly provide this difficulty? With the times you are getting, even in non-serious runs like this one, it seems to be the case, but, not having played the game (yet), I can't properly judge this question for myself.
Singleplayer mode monsters have village tier HP while solo hunts in previous games were done on hub monsters which were designed for ~2 players so solo hunts in World are on average shorter.
Up to hr70 now and have been playing since MHFU. Personally I feel world is very streamlined in terms of out of hunt preparation, and in hunt monsters have less hp and imo are just much easier than past installments. Mantles mean you can ignore so much potential threat, camo is a thing, you can restock items during a hunt, and monsters will focus on each other instead of you. While it is certainly really fun, I am hoping that when G-rank comes around it actually adds some good challenge.
The tempered hunts feel on par with normal late High Rank. The game's a lot more forgiving in its mechanics though, for example rolling backwards and rolling no longer stopping your movement at the end. It also has a lot more depth in weapon mechanics and what you can do to aid the hunt, as well as out-of-quest mechanics. With that said, I'm 210 hours in and I can safely say that, provided we get a bit more content, this is the best Monster Hunter to date. There are some pet peeves I have about certain weapons' new moves/mechanics, but I just don't play them, and other people seem to enjoy these "bad" things, so it's not appropriate for me to say they're bad.
Game is far too easy, reminds me of portable 3rd in terms of difficulty, only with way more quality of life changes making for a much smoother experience overall. Every new encounter was fun and engaging but once you've seen everything, you quickly realize just how easy the whole thing was. MHW needs more monsters, they need more moves/combos, pin attacks that actually do something, ultimate attacks that actually live up to their name (Teo's supernova is a joke now) and of course more power/hp in general. As it stands, the whole thing is far too casual at endgame (Aside from the grind lol). It's still fun, I'll give it that but I want more! :O
I think Capcom was prepared for this game to bring a lot of players that have never touched MH before, and adjusted accordingly. May not be great news for the hardcore players and solo runs from the past, but it's smart for business. It insures you don't lose the majority of your player base right off the back of release because newer players can't finish the hunts. But with that said, you still have to learn the monster's movements and behavior. GRank, whenever that's a thing here, will hopefully bring back that old school difficulty feel.
Cosmeonic G Yeah it would lower Kush’s aura, same thing with Kirin. Although it’s hard to test if elderseal really does much since it doesn’t have any kind of special effect to tell you when it works or not.
Did they finally make Teostra the flame emperor dragon like it was always meant to be instead of the blastblight spam dragon? It looks amazing and while easier it would make for much more fun and cool looking hunts!
Tho tho It has both fire aura and blast aura now. There’s a second aura where he covers himself in the blast dust and keeps summoning his explosive farts but it usually happens late into the fight.
respect for you for not being bored spending hundreds of hours killing same monsters over and over again. bcs I get bit bored after finishing story quests
