Why all the people from USA thinks if someone speaks in spanish it has to be from MÉXICO, this bad shit its from colombia. Different culture different way to speak spanish.

Just a question for anyone who knows Spanish, but I was taught the correct way to say "My name is..." in Spanish was to not use "Mi nombre es" (litterally "My name is"). Instead, you're supposed say "Me llamo" ("I call myself"). Is it like a case where technically incorrect grammar became the norm or was I just taught something wrong?
It's ok! I speak spanish and i can say that "Me llamo" is the correct way, but it can be say from the two ways! The only thing is that "Mi nombre es" is like a more formal way to introduce you. Sorry if my english is not very good...
Well there are many ways to say everything in spanish, depending on the intention, the order of the words or just using that way for a whim. While usually every way is understood to mean the same as every other, there are very subtle differences that can be noticed if you know the language. "Me llamo Walter Blanco" is a bit more informal: You are presenting yourself to someone in a casual way, the focus being more on you as a person and on how someone should call you than on the name. "Mi nombre es Walter Blanco" is more formal: You are letting someone know a certain information, which is your name, but you as a person are not the focus. A lot of things in spanish can be said differently, especially verbal times. Then again, most spanish speakers don't really care about the differences of every form
México, Colombia, Argentina Chile they have different cultures and different ways to translate the shows. And this is the colombian way, not mexican, we watched better call saul in netflix.
