not a lot of good memories of the al golden era but on that day, sun life staium was LIVE. the orange uniforms looked fresh, the fans showed up for the whiteout, it was super loud in there, all of the gator tears afterwards, the defense was hitting, even the cheerleaders looked better that day, 22 year old me was ready to risk it all lmfaoo. But honestly one of my favorite memories as a cane fan.

I've lived and breathed Miami football my whole life, but growing up in Tampa Bay with a house full of Seminoles, and spending years of my life away in the military, I was never able to attend a game until last season. This was the FIRST ever Miami game I was able to attend, and one of the best days of my life. GO CANES!! 14' is going to be an awesome season. Stacey Coley, Duke Johnson, Joe Yearby, Tracey Howard, DP52, and AQM are the bricklayers for a nasty squad!
You never did reply back about Miami losing to Florida A&M in 1979? Any comment? If I were you I'd do a little research before I make a comment I don't know the answer to. Miami was brutally bad for an entire decade. They lost to 3 or 4 FCS schools.

Miami went 5-7 in 2007 buddy. Miami is now 0-4 in their last 4 bowl games and 1-5 in their last 6 bowl games. This was Florida's 1st losing season since 1979. Miami lost to Florida A&M in 1979. Miami has also lost to a few other 1AA schools in it's history. Cincinnati and Memphis(both 1AA at the time) as well as Fordham and Rollins. Just a few facts for you. There were a few other losses by teams that no longer have football. You're welcome.
The story behind the game is Florida GAVE us 5 turnovers and we STILL won slim. That speaks to our offensive struggles way back then. Hopeful that 2019 brings better offensive play.
You talk shit about OOC but the Gators Schedule last year was ranked top 5 SOS. In fact every year the Gators schedule is ranked tougher than UM's. You have no point on that one. Gators won SEC titles in 90, 91, 93, 94, 95, 96, 00, 06, 08. The Canes can't even win their division in the ACC. Florida's "Glory" years were the entire 1990's. The Gators had one of the toughest schedules in the Nation last year are always in the top 20 SOS every single years. Cane fans love to say the Gators are "chicken" o play then which is just soo juvenile. Last year the Gators beat 4 top 10 programs. FSU, South Carolina, Texas A&M and LSU. Why would the Gators lose a million bucks every other year when they have one of the toughest schedules in the country every year. I'll get the UF AD to play UM if they come to Gainesville every year OK, LOL.

Canes gamplan was to force Driskel to pass by shutting down the run. So anyone saying Gators gave it away is sour grapes. Canes wanted Driskel to throw the ball. He did for career yds but he also made mistakes that Canes were counting on. The fumbles were FORCED by great hits and a strip. So please stop with the bullshit that UF lost it and Canes did not win it. UF played right into Canes defensive gameplan. 123yds rushing by UF...check their record with under 150 yds rushing in a game. GoCanes!
Stats don't tell the whole story. Our defense stood you guys up drive after drive even when you had field position. And not only that, but we took it away 5 times AND stuffed you on 4th down. At the same time we tore you guys up in the 1st quarter and then from the 2nd up until the 4th quarter, your front 7 dominated us and we couldn't move the ball at all. It all came down to who made the big plays on both offense and defense, and it was Miami. There was no ass whipping. It was a great game

The only time USF beat Miami Miami fired their coach so that should tell you how bad USF is and how much Miami fell at that point. Miami is much better than USF and once again we'll beat them.
It was a good game but our team has no offense sucks and the canes wouldn't have won if we didn't mess up at the end of the fourth but what it's all said and done so good job canes
Florida lost that on turnovers. They should've not even been in the game with all of those turnovers and settling for FG in Miami territory. Golden was lucky to win that one but he was coaching against Muschamp and Jeff Driskel.
No matter how good we where..we always had issues when we played Miami for some reason ..smh even the 90s team played like Trash when we played Miami..
That's a wonderful stat. But Florida won the National title in 06 and 08. 5 BCS bowls since 2001.(Orange, 2 Sugars, 2 National Champ games) Miami is 59-81-1 vs the SEC. You can pick and choose your stats but Florida has been the much better program over the last 10 years. Not even close.

Getting pressure with our front 3 in the redzone was key. On the shortened field under pressure Driskell always panicked and forced a instead of taking the sack. It was a lights out game from Green, Perryman, Figueroa, McCord, Armbrister, Porter and Chick. This years defense may be lhe best weve had since 2009. This is the year University of Miami football takes back the State it made from the little brothers it has historically owned.

Just a hard fought game. Defense played about as well as they could. UF's DL is unreal. They kept blowing up our OL and the OL is pretty good. Art needs to step it up come GT.
