MIATA GETS SEQUENTIAL SHIFTER! SUPER NOTCHY! 

I got this shifter a year ago and have been daily driving it every day. It's so nice, banging gears never felt so crisp

Nice video, this shifter looks nice. I need to make it clear though, this is NOT A SEQUENTIAL shifter, it's a short throw shifter. You still shift in a H patern, not up/down. I also installed one one my miata, that is a bit different. it looks and fits like OE, but with fitting rings to raise the center of rotation of the shifter. Yours looks like it makes the throw of the shift even shorter. But this is not to be confused with a sequential shifter that means actually fitting a sequential gearbox... That being said it's a great mod I would recommend to any one who just got a miata!

I watched this whole video waiting for him to mention a sequential gearbox, total clickbait, if I'd have known this was just a hear knob install then I probably wouldn't have watched it. On the flipside, glad you mentioned the torque specs and why to not over tighten.

I was born and raised in SoCal, still live here too. I agree with you on Malibu for sure. California in general has some really nice places to drive, especially driving a Miata I'm sure. As for this shifter, I'm not too much of a fan for its appearance, but I do appreciate the effort you put into this. That gunk reminds me of the CNC machine I used to clean out. It too had a nasty smell.

I had this in my rx7 and for spirited driving it’s awesome. For everything else it’s a little too notchy for me. I’ve actually had it give me some shoulder pain lol.

What's this like compared to the IRP shifter? Have you tried the IRP?

thats rad bro i been thinking upgrade yself cuz i have a short throw already and it really short aswell highth wise and i like the shorter shifters personally but i might have to check this one as i been thinking of it or the irp bud unsure as i might have to zf swap at some point cuz the power being it bored 30 thou over and forged atm next is head work for me but already boosted and fun just not sure what all going to be lol my power goals are 800-1000 on full kill and around 600 on my daily driven tune lol i know crazy for miata but fun lol an just a goal of mine lol , right now i around 300hp and its awsome but any further n i feel breaking stuff gonna start happening lol anywas sorry i rambling lol anyway peace n love guys stay rad and build on .... loving both miatas and looking forword to there outcome #GOALS i want me n my wife to have twins lol only thing is i own a 91 na and she likes the nb style so maybe just miatas not quite twins but still be awsome .... peace n love guys ttyl n love the content 💪 ✌

Uhhh, this is just a 'Short Shifter' definitely not a 'Sequential' which is a very specific type of transmission. Title is misleading and needs to be changed.

How is this a sequential? Clickbait...

I disliked the irp shifter. Rattled like a mf and I had an issue with not getting proper gear engagement. I think it was in due to the shifter being chassis mounted and the engine and trans being on the bushings you'd get a misalignment and miss a gear.
