Check out this insanely-cool product by MX5 Tech UK! This mod can be installed in minutes and requires no cutting or splicing of cables. Simply unplug the existing headlight motor connectors and insert the wink mod connectors and you're done!
The module can be operated remotely via Bluetooth using MX5 Tech's free mobile app for Android & Apple devices. Using the app, the user can also select which wink operation is linked to which button press combination as well as setting the height of the sleepy eye.

I swear, I love my stock Miata but whenever I see this Miata it’s like man the money I’d pay for this man with his golden hands to do the same thing to my Miata would make me so happy, he wouldn’t even have to do the work he just tells me what to do and then just coaches me if I mess up anywhere

That is an FDM printed box so it is not waterproof whether the gaps are sealed or not because the layer lines are not sealed. You would need to spray the entire box in some waterproof coating

I've had one for quite a while, one failed for an unknown reason (I suspect water damage), was sent an updated version and haven't had a problem since. Only thing I found is that it slows down the pop-up response from the tombstone button and makes getting your lights to come up kinda inconsistent from the stalk. Still worth it in my opinion but definitely worth noting before anyone uses these.

I have watched a dozen different videos on this subject. ALL, say the wiring is too long and either needs to cut and solder or stuff the excess wherever you can. Wouldn’t it be great if the manufacturer shortened the wires (saving themselves money) and saving the buyer work and time.

I am interested in buying a miata as a project car and the 1990-94 models have a short nose crank. Have you had any problems with it or have had to replace it or work on it?

it's only the 90-91.5 models that have it. You can actually tell if one has it or not based on the vin numbe, if it's 209446 or less you have the short nose crank. It's honestly not that huge of a deal, just be sure to replace the bolt and key whenever you do the timing belt and torque it down to the proper amount and you should be good. When you go to buy one you can inspect the crank pulley while the car is running and if it's wobbly you know it's giving out. Many people own them with no issue, and even if it goes out it's just a free excuse to throw a 1.8 in lol.

@@OMGBUILDS well, the engine in Miata NA was taken from another Mazda, a front wheel driven and in that car originally the engine was cooled from the other side wich was the best for the engine. But they take that engine put in a Miata make it a rear wheel drive result in an engine with cyl 3 and 4 most running too hot. Not much of a problem when U have 116hp and original but as soon U overboost the engine with turbo or compressor the obvious problem with a wrong way cooling Will appear.
