Our last church we attended and worked at, never work for a church btw, was our third, it was originally 600 people but grew to over 10,000, one Saturday night service, 2 Sunday morning, a 6pm Young Adults service called Joshua House and a Latino service during the main Sunday morning service. It was considered a Mega church. It was horrible, we called them on a bunch of stuff, thus we weren't too popular as we didn't fit the mold. My hubby called them a business back in 2015. Stuff would happen to people by the church and as long as it didn't happen to others, they'd say "oh yeah, I heard about that!!" They stay though, but until the church screws them over, they won't leave or do anything about it! There were pastors having affairs with others, someone on staff was dating a married man claimed she didn't know but she was staff too and had a lot of friends there, so there's no way she didn't know. They preach a lot on tithing, not enough about he ll, there are so many leaders, staff and pastor's kids so confused that they decide they want to be the opposite s ex, some pastor that was married for 30 years left her marriage because she started attending her g ay son's church and then decided she was always a le s bian! I've never seen so much of this in the other churches we attended, so something is super seriously wrong at that big one, they're leading the Flock astray for sure! I'm not saying anything bad about all of these situations but it was just seriously messed up! Other things happened there to us, it's a long story and wasn't right, we felt pushed out and when we were told we could still attend, well hubby said one particular staff member would send another staff member to sit behind of, hubby knew what they were doing, as he was an LEO and undercover detective at one time, so he knew when he was being watched, anyway our daughter never felt connected to the 20-30's group and our son had only one good friend there, they were more into video games but he said he never felt good vibes from the main worship room, they both said they saw de mons & shadows in there. In the last year, I now see that God gently led us out, it hurt before thinking we were pushed out but now I really see how we really were saved from all that mess!! That I am thankful for! It has been very hurtful but man it just made me see that you don't have to worship God in a building!! I don't miss the manipulation like when we first became members, they said we needed to serve in childcare or kids worship, and then when you want to take a break they try and guilt trip you into not leaving so I think that's why the isolation has been so hard on me! I've also heard our huge church was basically a cult!!

I'm from South Dakota! I live in Ohio now. My hubby loves going through Iowa on our way to SD when we'd go. He loves the corn fields, that no one gives him the bird and that the Sheriffs also wave as they pass us speeding lol. He loves the back country roads and getting away from all the crazy drivers on our highways. Yeah if I'd had known how nuts it was here, I probably wouldn't have moved here. An individual can petition the judge and can ask for a court injunction that involuntarily admits someone for 72. hours. Once the judge orders it, the facility has to take the patient. At 72 hours, the judge will allow discharge but it is based on the doctor's report on the patient during their hospitalization.
