Before Michael Clarke Duncan died, I wish they brought him back as the Kingpin and have him appear in the Sam Raimi Spider-Man trilogy and The Punisher with Thomas Jane. After all, the Kingpin has been an enemy of Spider-Man since appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man #50 before becoming the archenemy of Daredevil and a recurring enemy of the Punisher.
Totally rancid milk take. The film had only one weak point and that was the shoehorned romance with Elektra. It was supposed to be a Daredevil only movie. But Hollywood wouldn't greenlight it without a romantic angle (Since that was the formula at the time and they were chasing those Spider-Man dollars.) TBH if you cut Elektra out of the movie, you have one of the better Superhero flicks of all time especially with the director's cut. And I like Jennifer Garner, just saying her role in the movie is a tack-on at best.
Good to know that there is more Michael's influenced kingpin other than Old Man Logan. I thought black Kingpin is only in the film and Old Man Logan (2009) comic series.
I saw daredavil last year, and I just recently watched the green mile on recommendation of my parents. I really, really liked this guy. Not only did he play fantastic, but that smile he got is so great it really brightness my day. I just wikipedia'd him for fun and then I discovered he passed away already. I was kinda shocked, and see it as a great loss for humanity. Rest in peace, Michael Clarke Duncan
Greatest and most badass performance of a villan on screen ever! Thank you forever Hollywood Big Mike! You will be deeply missed! R.I.P. December. 10th 1957 - September 3rd 2012
RIP Kingpin. As much as I love Vincent D'Onofrio's take on the Kingpin (and it is absolutely spectacular), Duncan really made this role his own. As a kid, watching him face Daredevil was amazing to me. He will always be missed, and he left us too early.
Personality, voice and charisma. Plus I think of him as voicing DC Darkseide. Plus he was born to play Kingpin. Atlas from god of war. He had the voice of a King
Michael Clarke Duncan totally got the character he was playing. I wish they’d cast him for the same role in the Raimi Spider-Man movies rather than this
You know, I was so used to Kingpin being white... but after watching this when it came out, he's the ONLY one who could bring him justice... and he's the only reason I bought the movie! RIP Michael Clarke Duncan.
Yeah. Similarly, Mr. Smithers from The Simpsons was black, but they changed him to white since having a black man serve a wealthy white man (Mr. Burns) was a bad look.
When I first saw this guy doing the kingpin, no offence but I was very used to kingpin being white. After some moments, I started thinking rhat no one else could have done him better
it would have been great though is roscoe lee browne played the role if he was alive still and younger, for those that dont know who he is, he was black and he did the voice of kingpin in the spiderman animated series
After what the M-SHE-U did to Private Pyle, I'm positive to say that MCD was the perfect Kingpin. And him actually knowing about Kingpin comic book facts makes me appreciate his performance more. Rest In Power Michael Clarke Duncan.
He was good for the acting part.. But maaan they should've had someone else, plus the theater version of daredevil is awful.. Director cut I'd waaaaay better... Could've been awesome, but it's decent.. They need to reboot this.. Have Chris Nolan do this, add that TDKR feel to it
