Ok, first off, I love the show. Love the books. I have read everything up to "Two Kinds Of Truth". Everything. So, when I ask "WTF was up with KTK and Where did that come from???" you know where I am coming from. Whole arch seemed abandoned and a complete waste of screen time. Can you please enlighten us on what that was supposed to have been before it was prematurely truncated and left in the gutter? Dying to know.
As you do not seem to know the difference between an ARC and an ARCH, it's easy to see how you have trouble following the story. There was a real Koreatown Killer in the 1980s. Michael Connelly wrote crime reports for newspapers before he became a novelist. As with several other events/aspects of adapting the books to film, things were modified. According to UPI SEP. 28, 1988: "Koreatown Killer Gets 40 Years" A hit man who shot three patrons of a Koreatown restaurant over a pay dispute, killing one and wounding the other two, was sentenced today to 40 years and four months to life in state prison. Superior Court Judge Bernard Kamins imposed the sentence on Chunk Ka Ya, 29, who was convicted in May on one count of first-degree murder and two counts of attempted murder.
