You speak with wisdom and understanding that can move the church forward into the 21st century and away from outmoded theological constructs that belonged to another age. As an Anglican clergy person, our Anglican community in Christ has never been based on theology structures and propositional statements of belief; rather the Anglican focus is on knowing God through worship and discerning what God is up to in the world today. You have a lot to teach those who process to love and serve the God revealed in Jesus Christ. I've just purchased your book "Knowing God?: Consumer Christianity and the Gospel of Jesus" and am very much looking forward to reading it.
Jesus would never of said the world was flat as people had believed and even estimated the size of a spherical earth to within 10% accuracy from at least 600yrs BC.
Martin Baxter your right brother and I've studied the early church he's weaving in lies about there early belifs I dare anyone to educate them self on the valdense dating back to the 2nd century there's people that knew the bible was God's complete word infailable.......he said that was a 1700s idea that they (the Catholics ) pushed after the earth became known as round.
