The problem with bluegrass covers is they are better than the originals... Not a problem, actually. And most of the time all of the players are consumate singers.
Amazing! Honeywagon now own this song, and I like it just as much as MJ's original. I love it when someone can take a popular song and then re-score it in another style and make it even better. That's what happened to "Fox On the Run," a rock song that was turned into a bluegrass standard.
@benadmin I have no idea, never heard of them before.. but the cover is professionally produced, as the video is... The arrangement is truly well labored upon.. They must pop over sometimes in a jam, guitar festival, contest or something... They truly rock....
Being from WV, I grew up listening bluegrass, it got on my nerves! But I'm lately falling back into my roots, though I still love my rock and metal :) Lovely cover, kudos boys!

VERY nice rendition. It really speaks very differently from the original, as a good cover should. Vibrato on the bass @ 0:57, spot on, dude. Harmony @ 1:40 another personal favorite.
I love how when these songs are broken down and rearranged and then played and covered by real musicians with a creative mind they are equal to or significantly better than their slickly-produced, highly-marketed, high-gloss originals.
I don't think you could be more wrong if you tried. You say these are "real" musicians in comparison to MICHAEL JACKSON. One of the top selling, most recognized, talented artists IN THE WORLD. Next you say they are creative because they COVERED a song? Since when is using someone else's lyrics and riffs more creative than CREATING it yourself? And finally you claim it's equal to or better than the original... Thriller, a PLATINUM record, Billie Jean a single that hit number 1 on charts across the WORLD. It's a nice cover but you must be smokin' the bluegrass bud.

honeywagon is the shti i don't care what anyone else says that is my opinion, whatever they are the best i've heard for awhile mixing pop with bluegrass i listen to this more than i do the original cuz thats how i am purely satisfied yeah
i fuckin' love this versioni! better than the american idol guys version. its like when dolly parton bluegrassed up stairway to heaven. it takes alot of talent to re-genre an iconic song. great song guys!
