Wesley Snipes Was Apparently a Nightmare to Work With Behind-the-Scenes. "Snipes was smoking marijuana most of the time in his trailer, per the AV Club, seemingly explaining his odd personality." a diva in class whit Steven Seagal.

Not only do I like them both but like Mike said "that's my big brother", and the fact that they are close is awesome. So anyone reading this post be respectful 🙏🏾 with what you say about these two men.
@@lman1006 because this was specifically a fight between someone who is in Taekwondo and someone in karate. I was just pointing out what I was in and giving the edge to MJW vs Wesley Snipes. It was an unbiased opinion.
the gap isn't big enough to matter in this case. 7 and 12 isn't much different. 7 you're just learning some basis, and even wheb you get far, you're still in a certain mindset. at 12 you start taking things seriously. so anemone who STARTS at 12 will take it seriously from the beginning. not just play around for a few years just only following directions but overall seeing it as a game. at 7 -10 you still have to have assistance. things are made easier. at 12 they can start you off with REAL training from the jump. That's all general stuff, but general enough to accept in this case thst the gap between when they started isn't big enough to say it has any real advantages. they both stsrted early in life and their muscles and minds grew into it. it's like how it doesn't matter if a kid played peewee football since they were 7 or started in middle school or high school. All thst matters is they didn't wait till 10yh grade, whwb their muscles and minds haven't really gotten to grow with it. the person who played football since age 7 has a great story, but there are .any better better him who didn't stsrt till 9yh grade
A huge fan of both. They have mastered alot of the same disciplines. Both trained kickboxing, karate, bjj, etc. The edge goes to MJW due to weight class but even in skillset.
The truest statement on here. So many people dont realize how much weight plays a role. I wasnt into marshal arts but I grew up boxing at an early age. In 9th grade I was asked who would win in a boxing match between myself and a heavyweight that I didnt really get along with. Instead of me just saying he would win, oh no my ego and me being undefeated in the ring at that time took over. Now I never said anything bad about the other guy, so kinda keep that in mind. I did say this. Well both of us are undefeated and since hes in a different weight division then I am, we will never know. I left it like that and went on a out my day. At the beginning of 6th hour as I was walking into the class, I remember flying over 3 desk. This monster of a heavyweight is standing infront of me and saying I heard that you said you could beat me???? I said no I never said that. Well he didnt care and wanted to prove then and there he could beat the crap out of me. Now hes weighs 220 and I'm 180. That 40lbs might not sound like much but it is and the week before he broke the quickest KO in Louisiana, at 10sec. I found myself throwing books and even a desk at him as I was backing up and telling him to chill out. I was trying to stall for the teacher to walk in a d she hadn't made it yet and the bell hasn't rang. After being pushed into a corner of a brickwall, I figured I had to defend myself. He had a great one two combo he loved. Left right and most people would go down. Me pretty much knowing that these are coming, I was a left to dodge them and side stepped. I hit him as hard as I could with a right cross. I was aiming for his nose and hoping to break it. A man with a broken nose cant see to well at first. This was my thinking when i threw this punch. Well he ducked and i caught him in the forehead breaking my right hand in 4 places. I started yelling at him to come on, come on. He just stood there and then I watched his eyes roll into the back of his head as he fell straight backwards. We both get a 5 day suspension and this was like the 4th time for him in getting into trouble. He was fixing to get kicked out of Golden Gloves. Not even I wanted this, I really looked up to this guy, but also thought he was an asshole. After I healed up and was ready to step back in the ring again, our trainer thought it would be funny to put us in the ring together. He said that he was still finding it hard to believe that I KOed him and wanted to see if I was ready to make that next step forward. At this time I was at 190 and packed on more muscle. We both put on all our head gear and were told 2 rounds of sparring and to have fun with it. In the back of my head I'm thinking this. I am to fast for him and I'm going to light him up. Lmfao, this 2 round sparring session lasted about 5 seconds my friend. We went out and he caught me with a right hook to my liver!!! I was turned and I still dont know how he hit me there. Anyway, I dropped like a sack of potatoes and laid on the ring floor for about 5 minutes. I dont care how big and bad a man is, you get hit in the liver, that hit will hurt almost as bad as being shoot. I would quit boxing about a year later. As far as him, I havent seen nor heard a thing about him since we were kids in school. One of my friends told me he was in prison for beating his wifes boyfriend to death and was charged and convicted for 2nd degree murder. That's 25 to life. Sorry this was so long but its funny that I still remember this so many years later. This was back in 1988. His name was Christopher Cain and I really thought he could have been something. The high light of my boxing. Back in 1983 I went to a boxing match in Vegas. The boxing match wasnt the high light. The high light was meeting and getting a hug from the Greatest That Ali guy that my dad told me a out so many times. I met him at a young age and had NO clue what this man had done in his lifetime. What I did know, this man was tall and I thought my dad was bigger then life, this guy made my dad look like a kid standing next to him. Lol. My dad was 6ft and Ali of course being 6ft 5. Take care and I hope that I didnt bore you if you read this. If you did read this, I want to say thank you very much. All of it is true to what I remember. I wish you and everyone else that reads this the very best that life has to offer.
@@jasonwebb1882, it was very interesting, thank you, it was like an adventure when reading it. What I think is that; you should've never gone back in a ring with him. Cause, as far as I understand while reading, he had a very big ego, knowing that he gives the knock-out to people in 10 min, & you, a little 180 knock him down, he never expected that. Since that, you should've thought to yourself, that man's ego is still bowling & waiting patiently for revenge. That guy that put you in the ring is a big MF. He made you understand that it was for fun, so, that you would not be off guard, &, the 1st thing he did was give you a blow on your liver. He knew damn well what both of them had planned. You never hear a proverb that says; love others but, don't trust them. More again with what is going on now, Satan is more active than ever. Even our relationships with our families are jeopardized too. You thought that now being 190 you were better than 180. You never thought, perhaps it was your guardian Angel that save you. Cause if you didn't do that, maybe that guy would've killed you for no reason. It's a long time yes, but, that doesn't prevent you from thinking today, that, instead of being in prison for his wife's boyfriend it could've been you. Continue taking care of yourself. TATA.
Yeah instead of pitting them *against* eachother it would be way better to see them work side to side/back to back showcasing their different respective fighting styles, while working *together* to clean house
Tough one. Wouldn't be an easy win either way. I think Mike has the size, power & strength advantage, and has impressive speed for his size. He also holds a few more Black Belts in more arts, so that helps him too. I think Wesley seems to have slightly better hand techniques (Kali & Silat) and is more mobile & agile due to the Capoeira & Hapkido, but I dont believe it's by a wide enough margin to significantly counter MJWs power, additional experience, & speed for his size. All that said, none of that guarantees that Mike would win...they are both skilled enough that it could still go either way. Would likely come down to one of them executing the perfect attack or counter at precisely the right moment, and that person would have to press the advantage HARD and unrelenting. In terms of charisma, performing and acting though...Wesley is by FAR the better actor/performer...no doubt about that in my opinion.
@@tonettewhite3188 You have every right to your opinion, but I stand by Wesley as the superior actor. I'd love to know what role or roles you feel he "overacted" in. If anything, I'd say that Michael underacts. His performances minus Black Dynamite, Why Did I Get Married, and a few others more often than not come across kind of wooden and devoid of noticeable depth, emotion or memorable personality. I like Michael as an actor on a base level, but Wesley has proven over the years he can pull off nearly any role or genre. I think most ppl would agree that Wesley is far more versatile...
I don't believe that either one would ever fight each other and that they respect each other too much to let anything push them to that level of disagreement that they would need to fight! But I do love both characters.
Snipes is a heavy brute force fighter as White is a fast counter fighter looking for the open shots your not guarding. Snipes is my favorite action fighter but I don’t think he has speed on his side to block the speed of White. I’m thinking it would most likely come down to who has the most endurance & cardio to spare.
See, i love both of them as the greatest martial art performers on cinema. Wesley has better charisma than MJW, but as for martial arts power and its variety, i believe that MJW would exceed Wesley. Wish they play together in one movie and make us enjoy unparalleled fight scenes.
Michael Jai White is one of two black stars I like besides Denzel Washington. They both have the same charisma to me. I'm always amazed to see their appearance in movies. Even though their films are of different genres, I still like them both. If I may know, who fought Silvester Stallone at the beginning of this content? He's a man with pigtails.
@@realitywithmj4334 That formula 1 comparison doesn't work, studied doesn't mean he just sat and watched or only read about it but has actually trained in it
Both of them are my most favorite top ten martial artist fighters and I would love to see them both kick ass together or against one another in a special project movie and I definitely wouldn’t rule them both out in possibly another expendables series in which Sly should automatically make happen but seeing these two extreme talents in a action movie together will be 🔥🥋💪🏽🍿🎥🎞🎬📼
Although Snipes is a skilled Martial Artist he holds BB's in 3 disciplines to MJW's 8 disciplines. MJW had his first BB at 13 and Snipes was first starting out. In terms of real fighting experience that would go to MJW as he's fought for real in tournaments....Snipes is a force to be reckoned with....I don't believe he'd roll over Snipes but he would win. At least when I see both of these guys on screen I know they're doing their own scenes.....Snipes is coming out with Blade Killer which he said will showcase everything he know's as a Martial Artist....when he made the Blade movies he only had a single 1st degree BB in Shotoken Karate now he's a 5th dan and has multiple other BB's in other disciplines.
The reason Wesley Knipes win is his martial artist is more versatile and real in a real fight. I just can not see Michael J White beating him in a real fight. It would never happen.
Its About..TIME!!!! seeing wesley Snipes coming back ...Iam Master Tiger Thompson here in vegas teaching taekwondo for 40 yrs ..its good to see actors like mr snipes in .movies its,a,great motivator for future students thank you
I would love to see them in a film together rather fight each other. That being said, there both good and size isn't everything, can't really say who would win, id have to see them actually go at it. As far as films, and acting, snipes wins that contest. Also snipes is faster as far as body mechanics if where talking when they both were in their prime.
2 the Best Black Martial Artist Ever. A movie with both will be great. In my humble opinion Michael Jai White Wins the Fight. I hope they found a good director to put this nice idea on the road.
Bro you called that perfectly it is extremely too close to call they're both equally both equally matched as far as skill if I were to give just a slight edge to someone and I mean tissue paper slight April slight I would say Michael J white Just because of his size the guy 6' 1 /6' 2 or so and he's Lightning fast For his size. I seriously gotta say this is the best one you've ever done yet I thought about this years ago I'm a huge fan of both.
@@thedigitalproductevolution3379 you might be right as one holds technique vs power. lets see who would actually win cause at the end of the day technique excels power to a point. Form is everything and as much as you train unless you perfect your craft you arent at full capacity of using that type of art.
Nothing against Snipes but Michael is a true animal if you know fighting real fighting you can tell Michael is for real. Maybe not ufc champion but deff a world class fighter.
Imagine a 13 year old black belt?! Nobody that saw him fight on the school yard once ever messed with him again. When I was in school, a guy tried to kick me but I grabbed his leg in one attempt. But, I can't imagine having to fight a black belt!
Mjw is impressive but I think I give the edge to prime Wesley Snipes, that guy is a whole other thing. I believe he has faster reflexes and a higher fight Iq
Both brilliant artist's in their own right. My son is an actor, I keep saying do martial art training. It's a brilliant addition to your skill set. Will he? I have no idea. But pray he will....
Both as good as each other starting from a young age both learnt so much to become brothers of martial arts Top performers would end as a draw. Why they have great respect for each other. Michael and Wesley are truly performers and 100% equal to each other. Alan from Derby England.
To close to call, in two fights, I look for Mike to win the first fight. And with Wesley's speed and adaptability he will win the second fight. The third fight would be a bloody draw!!
Both good. Both fun. Michel bigger, stronger. Wesley more street savvy and quicker. Weapons are his friend. Not to fight each other though! Go, brothers!😎🙏🏾🙏🏾
That is a close call. Overall I would have to go with Michael Jai White. He has the age advantage and I think he has a more well rounded stand up and ground game. Both are awesome though. Hopefully that fight never comes to fruition!!
You were supposed to tell us! Didn't want to get into that argument, huh? Okay. I'll do it for you. Gonna factor in experience, weight, training and age. With the advantage of experience (competitive fighting), weight and age, I give the (reluctant) victory to Michael Jai White.
I love watching both of them be badasses. It’s a tough one. Snipes as Blade was amazing. White in Blood N Bone… wow. I honestly don’t know who’d win. I’d be tempted to lean a little more towards white. Not knowing who’s skills are stronger, if compare speed and strength which I think very slightly goes toward white. But admittedly I don’t know and I’m a fan of both.
They are both extremely talented an well trained in the art of Acting and Martial Arts. My vote is for the both of these Men. With their being friends I can't see them going against each other as they say friends don't fight friends and I agree with that thought. Just my opinion.
Michael Jai White said in many interviews that he will never ever fight Wesley Snipes because that's his brother that's his big brother and fighting him is not on the tables he will never fight his big brother because that's his brother and they're too close to fight each other as brothers so we will never see them fight because they have that respect for each other
I see they are both outstanding fighters. They might be able to work together in a movie, but I doubt they will ever compete with each other. They have too much respected for each other, which is good.
I like all of them, But I think the difference between them is discipline, j.white is more disciplined then Snipes. That means in a street fight this conditions can affect the results. They are all my best stars. But to choose one will go with snipes .
Wow!! This was an awsome observation,I mean one can only compare them n not contrast.check their like calm, power, speed,u name it.I'll go for snipes coz he's a master of KAJUKEMBO which I enjoy watching n 4got to mention.
I went to the same high school as MJW in Bridgeport, Connecticut Central High School. He moved from NYC to Connecticut. I used to hear of actual street fights he was in and he is nothing to play with.
i feel truly that both MJW and Wesley Snipes both addapt well to any opponite they face no matter what time of martial arts they have studied i believe it would be to close to call both are to of my favorite actors and i believe they are both to amazing martial artist and it would be impossible to gauruntee a win from either side
