Anthony Edwards has been drawing comparisons to the legendary Michael Jordan with his style of play and fiery competitiveness. While Anthony is far and far away from being anywhere near Jordan's status, the comparisons themselves aren't that far fetched, as Jordan himself agrees with the comparisons. In this video I take a closer look to see just how valid these comparisons are.

Edwards' competitive posture is reminiscent of Jordan. His playoff numbers in the first round of these playoffs are similar to Jordan's regular season numbers. So Edwards is certainly making some strides. However, Jordan was a very accomplished player even _before_ entering the league with two gold medals, and an NCAA title. So While Edwards is younger than Jordan at this stage in the NBA, Jordan was significantly more decorated as an overall player at the same age than Edwards is now.

I agree with you here. I should have harped on more about Jordan’s rookie season stats, because comparatively speaking, Jordan came out the bat averaging 28 ppg at the age of 21. But yes, I agree with you here. Jordan was definitely more decorated as an overall player at Anthony’s current age

Ant is the new Mike and he will show the world how Mike would look in this era. And by that I mean he'd for sure be among the best but he would never be able to dominate the same way he did in the 90's, MJ would not have a goat career if he was drafted today that's for sure.

Not dissing MJ at all, he’s the clear cut GOAT and it’s not even close, but I think people are correlating them both because of their killer mentality and their explosive athleticism, amongst others.
