I never heard another NBA player say “you own the ball, you own the game, you own the player that’s guarding you, you can actually play him like a puppet”. GOAT TALK! 🔥
Michael Jordan was just a tremendously competitive basketball player that possessed a killer instinct. His comment shows that not only he wanted to beat you; he wanted to demoralize, destroy, and embarrass you. He was a killer
My parents bought the "Come Fky with Me" video on VHS for my Birthday when I was about 13. I've watched this thing a thousand times and the power and grace still astounds me to this day some 30+ years later.
Watched it so many times that I was speaking along with Michael beginning at 0:11. Still have "Come Fly With Me" somewhere around here all these years later.
Watching this in 2021 and MJ23 is still leaps and bounds above anyone. Look at his footwork, grace, technique. Honestly, if he played today in his prime he would average 50 points a game.
The "Come fly with me" documentary was released in 1989. Five years into the league, he's being called the greatest scorer since Wilt. That is crazy. I also saw an old news clip reporting on MJ's retirement. He was called the "best to ever play the game" in 1995. That's after the *FIRST* three-peat. Jordan has to have done the craziest feats to gain this much respect so early.
@@bolder2009 Bobby Knight called him the greatest player he had ever seen in the game of basketball before he was drafted lmao. Talk about a hot take :D
Wilt is in my top 5. I used to push him back but I just understand his complexities as a player. Wilt and Mj are the greatest and best scorers ever. Imo.
one of the reasons why some legends really respect air jordan the goat is that whenever he says he'll defeat you or toy on you hes gonna do it no cap he really marks his words talking while workin
It was a treat everytime MJ goes onto the hard court. He was head and shoulders above the best of the best. He can elevate his game depending on the challenge at hand. Definitely the GOAT.
Y’all might kill me but a lot this all basic dribble moves and just him being faster and more athletic than the league in that era. He still has one of the greatest storied careers and that 6-0 in finals is stil crazy
Nice video, what you did was show his younger days play, cause those were the same plays I remember watching on the south side(87th Ashland) of Chicago saying to myself...ooohhh shit Chicago I think we got us one😁😁😁
wowww! this brought back so many memories as a kid. My mom got me this VHS tape and a basketball for my middle school graduation. I remember watching this video so much and then going out to the court to try to imitate EVERY single move from the video.
My favorite video... watch so many times until tape crap out but bought another one.. lol 😆... one of my favorite scene is this one... my gawd he's so explosive first step.. 2:22 best pose
this is what makes me think he's the GOAT: he spent his summers golfing, smoking cigars, drinking whiskey, playing cards... then he shows up at training camp and worked his butt off to dominate the upcoming season. Kobe and Lebron spent hours in the gym in the summer to refine moves, stay in shape, following diets (nothing against that, let's be clear) to be able to dominate.
Hell yeah I used to watch this daily as a teen and his unique face and joy was part of the experience of that scene. You almost feel like you would know how he sounds when he talks.
Well I’m this day of senseless violence I will not use the terms killer or assassin to describe a basketball player. But MJ is nonetheless, the best player I’ve ever saw. Can’t speak in what I never saw 60 years ago like Wilt or Russell in their prime, or 45 years ago with Kareem in his prime.
The come fly with me into says it all! There are meny emulating him but no one holds a candle to him. Kobe the grate!!! Only solidifies MJ's greatness. Bryant's game was like watching Jordan in a Lakers uniform. It was amazing to watch both men kill it!
Bryant was not prime jordan ...not even close. Only kids say that. Bryant is closer to 96-98 jordan. Look at the highlights...its clearly a DIFFERENCE!
