Ever heard of Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal? Especially Barkley. Easy for Jordan and Shaq to stay in good humor, but Chuck never won the world championship, yet he's probably one of the happiest and funniest guys in all of sports.

I agree. After MJ left the game has changed. Truly shows his greatness how that the game has lost some of its shine since he’s been gone. There’s great players but none with the flair and penchant for making the impossible shot the way he did with regularity.

We still get great teams here and there like the Pop/Duncan spurs and the Warriors recently. Not sure any one individual will ever replicate what he did though.

As one who got into the game watching Michael Jordan, I can say with assurance that he is the absolute best…period! The GOAT for certain. There are many great players like Bird, Magic, Wilt, Kareem, Shaq, Miller, the black Mamba, Penny H, Dr. J, Patrick Ewing, Charles B., Scottie P., Dennis Rodman, Dumas, Isaiah Thomas…but no player has ever had a he caliber of Mike.

Nobody cares about their age. Impact is what matters, and Jordan clears.

They didn't talk bad to him or about him because MJ made big money for them in marketing. Everything written about Jordan generated billions of dollars back then and he was securing their jobs as well. You'll not want to cut the hand that feeds you. Even Ferrari got a boost in sales cause there was a story in the newspapers that showed Jordan purchasing one. Everything He touched was or talked about was gold.

@@uncletony6210 It wasn't just the people from the media only. Everybody wants to be like Mike or seen with Mike. Jordan even knew them by name. There was a woman reporter whose mother passed away and Jordan saw her in public and said his condolences to her which brought tears to her eyes. Back then people understand real values and this is why they didn't want anything negative about Jordan. Just by interviewing Jordan and written about Jordan gave people jobs at NBC and other popular news outlets..
