I was 12 in 1998, and grew up 3 hours south of Chicago in Springfield IL (where Andre Iguodala grew up) and have been crazy blessed to see some amazing players in my life
After all they both want the same. The NBA championship.. that stay in the books ..for the record Michael Jordan knew that dude Dennis could help the bulls to win .. is a dude can risk himself for win.
Phil Jackson said rodman was the best athlete he ever coached and he coach mj and Kobe. Mj also said Dennis had one of the highest bball IQs in the whole nba
MJ knew how to get Dennis to play his best, let him do what he needs to off court to keep his mental state fresh and you get an absolute beast the second the game starts. Dennis only screwed up once, and he knew it, came back and more than made up for it. Unstoppable on the boards man, the guy was superhuman.
Just got done watching the Last Dance documentary because I was born in 90 and the only sports I watched in the late 90s was the Red Wings because we were winning nonstop. But man, I knew he was wild but after seeing how strict MJ could be even when a star joined the team I didn’t think it would work like it did, or at least I though Jordan tore into him at practices but Jordan gave him the most respect ever and Dennis had this “whatever” attitude that I admire A LOT.
I love that when Rodman sees Jordan get hurt, he would get mad at the person whom he thinks has hurt MJ, and I love that MJ would pull on Rodman to calm him down and not make a big fuzz to prevent Rodman from getting into trouble
Man! What a team player. This is the guy you definitely need on your team to win! Put backs, blocks, steals , assist, rebounds & pass, dive for the ball.. He wasn't a scorer like Steph Curry, but more physically dominant, talented and athletic than any 3 point shooter today bar none! 💯 guy was money
Man, when you got 2-3 scoring assassins on your team with the likes of Pippen and Jordan then you got Rodman rebounding like crazy! Wow, the 96-98 Bulls were unstop-a-bull!
Scottie is the reason I became a fan in the first place, and even I know that he's not a scoring assassin. He's a great scorer, but he's best as a sidekick for a superstar. I remember, the furthest he got was the 2002 western conference finals with the Blazers, and he couldn't carry the team past the Lakers.
@@AnarkeeSoundVibes Don't forget it - Pippen was in his 30s when he played for the Blazers. I reckon if Pippen was given his own team in his 20's he would have lead a team to a championship.
Rodman deserves the biggest respect for all his heart, blood a total sacrifice for the game and his team.he was never a bitch-always ready and always giving everything to people he believes in.magical hero of the court!!!
7:53 Jordan was like “oops sorry thats your rebound Dennis” 😅🤣💁🏻♀️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 rare but nostalgic moment 💁🏻♀️🥰 the bench reaction was also priceless during that moment
This team knew their roles soo well thats why they are like a well oiled machine. No jealousy no ball hogging. Dennis rarely shoots cuz he knows his role is defense and rebounding.
@@jasonfranco6549 He also had MJ's back if & when the need arose. Kinda like a Hockey Team's "Enforcer", only with weird hair colors and the occasional Dress :) Dennis almost Always got the job done & if he didn't it wasn't for lack of trying his heart out. Folks get bogged down with his antics and miss just how good a Basketball Player he really was.
Each Time Rodman has the ball from a rebound all he needs to look for is MJ because he knew that MJ will score it... he trust MJ so much... that's why they are a strong team there is always a to go person.
Yea like that one time mj had two freethrows, and when he shot that 2nd freethrow dennis was already walking to the other side. He looked at the sideline and he was like what rebound?
Rodman 3 years on the bulls were the best in his life because they were the only team who really understood him it and that says a lot about Pippin and Jordan
I loved watching Dennis play. These games were so exciting then. All the heart and hustle Dennis had was extraordinary. Watching this, the passes were so clean and intentional, not sloppy.
rodman is a big kid selfless 0% arrogance always liked him . i grew up watching the bulls rodman jordan malone kemp bird Johnson jabar barkley pippen kobe drexler wilkings my favorite players
You can call Rodman an a**hole or call Jordan selfish but you will never see teamwork like these guys. That triple double and the way his teammates congratulate Rodman should go down in history!
Rodmannnnnnn I remember watching you guys in Chicago as a kid. I use to always think we were going to lose once the playoffs hit because it seem the other teams were so stacked but we always found a way to win.
A lot of simple fundamentals that add up - outlet passing, half court passing, cutting, finishing with the off hand, running the floor and the break correctly......greatness.
That's how it was Dennis Rodman and Michael Jordan is sad but I didn't pay attention to nobody else on that whole team them two still stood out and that's sad but I'm glad it was them too that stood out my two favorite
I gotta imagine that MJ and Phil Jackson meant an awful lot personally to Dennis. He loved being there, executing and supporting the Bulls. It's admirable
Rodman was the ideal teammate for Jordan...did not need the ball except to clean it off the glass for extra possessions. Plus another lengthy do everything defender.
MJ prob does love Dennis. I love Dennis, always have, and I’m just a 70 year old grandmother who deeply loves the game of basketball. He played harder than anyone, like the energizer bunny. Never worn out and tugging at his shorts. Off the court, there’s something poignant about Dennis Rodman. So humble, shy, even reticent. I don’t mean the antics. He could wear wedding dresses every day and he’ll still have a special place in my heart.
Diese era war eine ganz besondere, hab wirklich fast jedes Spiel von Magic Orlando und den Chicago Bulls gesehen, und jeden Tag selbst gespielt, beste Zeit, vermisse die guten alten Tage
A. I encourage people all the time to keep a positive attitude in life with the following quotes. B. Be like Shaq and block the negative. Be like Dennis Rodman and grab the positive. C. Be like a punter and kick away the negative. Be like a running back and run toward the positive.
I know Isiah Thomas and Michael Jordan have beef but I know there some things they can agree on, Dennis Rodman's work ethic. No matter what is Rodman's hair color is or new tattoos he have, as long as he gives his 1000% on the court and they knew that he would, they didn't cared his life style or appearance
People forget Jordan didn’t have a ring till after Rodman already had two. Jordan even went to get Rodman on his team after the pistons shutting out the bulls two years in a row.
Southwest Arkansas hillbilly here. I had a Rodman jersey and would die my hair. Hell I even peirced my ears. 2 in left 1 in right. Even the country folk understood my motivation. I remember him guarding Shaq 1 on 1... lock down... Talking about young quick shaq.

Дякую за такий важливий розбір гри. Згадав дитинство, Джордан - це Бог, але які ж в нього партнери. Пипен, Родман, Кукоч, Керр, Лонгли...кожен брав на себе частину роботи на майданчику.
