@@therealadil_-vg8eo y'all think that a 6'9 250 pounder is softer than a 6'6 guard who grew up because of HGHs, I mean what's the logic? LeBron flops to get fouls and take the win not because he got hurt or something..
I am a big time Lakers fan and my favorite player is Magic Johnson and when I saw Michael Jordan play I had a poster of Michael Jordan on my wall he is truly the goat
If Sir Isaac Newton was alive during MJ playing time, he would have written two different sets of the laws of physics. One for MJ and one for the rest of the universe.
I agree 💯. MJ TAKEOVER CELEBRATION,, LAVA HOT SONG,, NEW SHATT!! HAND UP LIKE JORDAN ⛽🔥🔥🔥,,,,,,ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pzj2dHQkjs4.html
Jordan in his days is one of the best ball handler and not only that, he is result oriented. That is why he is the GOAT. He gets the job done. He doesn't need to change team or select teammates. He'll do what he has.
Man, I cannot stop watching random Jordan highlights. I grew up watching him play and I had no idea how spoiled I really was witnessing him play. You hear Jordan and you automatically think basketball, fan or not.
I think we all need to watch the highlights from time to time as a reminder of who the greatest player to ever play the game is and it was a great pleasure to grow up in the 70s and 80s and watch Michael Jordan take the game of basketball above all others !!
I mean it's not even close. To me it is people who are too young to have watched Jordan live that argue it is James. Sink game winning shot, time and time again. 6 nba finals, 6 championships. The bigger the game, the better Jordan was. Defense and offense, all effort every game. Not only that, came in and took over the game, from Bird, Magic, and Kareem.
Till players stop playing for themselves and start playing for the love of the game again.. there will never be another. He was the epitome of the love of basketball.
...he rather used to be the epitome of the love of winning... Judging from all that has been said and written (and videotaped as well), he didn't love playing basketball as much as he loved beating opponents.
The final dunk on Ewing after dismissing Starks from the play is one of the best things I've ever seen. I saw that game live on TV, and I jumped up as it was happening. Almost lost a ceiling fan in the process - lol. MJ is the GOAT.
There's been a lot of great players, but Jordan almost guaranteed every game was going to have a "man how the hell did he do that" moment. There'll never be another.
Any highlights coming from the GOAT himself will never gets too old to watch; it's priceless and there hasn't been a basketball player like him past, present, anywhere, or anytime. No NBA franchise should ever wear the number 23....It should be retired and placed in the Hall of Fame.
Julie Swahn Most of the yelling were Bull announcers along with other announcers but that should tell you something considering I am in the DC area but able to recognize Bulls announcers. Jordan has been on so many highlight reels lol
I like how at 2:24 it looks as though Orlando Woolridge is smiling/laughing after just copping that facial from MJ (a former Bulls teammate, let's not forget)
It's an absolute honor to be dunked on by Jordan. You actually want your entire family and friends to witness that moment. Many have sent him "Thank You" cards for being posterized!! It's truely a blessing!
Dear god I hadn’t seen any Jordan highlights in awhile. Unlike anything I have ever seen or will ever see again. He dared you to meet him at the rim. The dunk against Utah Michael was an older player then was in the middle of the second three peat. 🐐
Absolutely the most entertaining Athlete of all time!! 6 rings never had to leave the team to get one Lebron!! Jordan Greatest of All Time!! Chi Town Baby!!!!
Had Mutumbo kept his mouth shut doing an all-star game he would've got a pass... Cause later that year Jordan gave him one, then got a tech for mocking him by waving his finger
The only excuse I can give to the guy who made the video... is he only got to choose 10. You could add another 10 and there will still be some omissions.
I had the privilege of watching him throughout his freshman year in college to his final shot in his last all star game. Often imitated, never duplicated. You can’t copy Mozart. DaVinci, and you can’t copy the GOAT Michael Jeffrey Jordan.
@@LT1HILLINGHOE No! This dunk by Jordan was, as a lifelong Bulls fan, the single most spectacular moment in that franchise's history! I saw both of those dunks live... this is the best!
He make those moves look simple and yet no one can really replicate them. Most NBA players who played against MJ had been made to look like college players
Before I even saw any of these Top 10 dunks, I already knew what #1 would be. That move along the baseline to fake out Starks and Oakley was unbelievable. I don’t know how Jordan thought to do that in the spur of the moment. His footwork was a thing of beauty. Then, after getting them to go the wrong way and vacate the lane, he went up and over the 7-foot tall Patrick Ewing - a bonafide rim protector and shot blocker - for the slam dunk. It wasn’t just the dunk, but the move before the dunk - the whole play - that made this my favorite Michael Jordan moment of all time.
Ohhh man, this is fantastic to watch. He goes so hard at the rim with no care for his self preservation. Great footage. There’ll never be another legend like Mike.......................ever!
My favorite part of these is watching the reactions of the players on the bench, whether they were Bulls players or the opponent. Either way, you could tell they knew what they were seeing was amazing.
There is so many more better facial dunks by Jordan but this is still a great compilation! I’m so blessed to say I was able to watch him throughout my adolescence and teens man what a bad ass he was!
How do you have a list of 10 Jordan In Your Face Dunks and leave off the time he dunked on Mutombo and finger wagged him? Doesn't get more In Your Face than that!
It's funny how I listen to Isiah when he was a commentator and he swung hard on MJs junk, but now head can't say anything good about him. Str8 up double agent. LMAO!
you see? you watch this and then the are people out there that say LeBron is better. bullshit. LeBron is more physically gifted? maybe standing side by side. maybe in a weightlifting contest. true measure... heart and the will to win. heart of a lion. after it's all said and done, sure lebron can be number two. all anyone cares about is who the best is/was. i'm a bulls fan and I like d rose. but look at the way mj split defenders and drove to the hole. d rose used to do that but he's too rigid. mj was smooth. then developed more with the fade away... i'm tired talking about it. mj is the best player the nba ever had or ever will have. damn near perfect prototype.
Dakiller1243 wtf? seriously? I shouldn't even have to sit here and type back with a response to that on this glorious sunday morning. man what a night huh? don't know about you, but I saw fireworks and then I saw fireworks if ya know what I mean... huh... you know what i'm saying. the ol' in and out...? yeah! anyway- dude i'm 43 years old yo. I seen mj in his PRIME. jon starks? starks hated mj. Isiah Thomas? bad boy pistons wouldn't even shake the bulls hands after they beat them. that's a rival in every sense of the word. magic??? fuck magic. there ain't know way magic was gonna match up with mj when mj beat them, what makes you think magic was going to beat mj afterwards? magic retired in part due to health (supposedly??? guy is a beast of a man and looks great to me) and in part because when you see someone in their prime greater than you and you know there is no chance of winning anything ever again you just hang it up. really... it's not bullshit. everyone...even now days talks magic/bird. mj is left out of that until a few seconds later. you know why??? BECAUSE HE HAS NO EQUAL!!! HE'S MOTHERFUCKING MICHEAL JORDAN! THE GOAT! da fuck outta here... magic... ok...
I think magic got the aids. the closest rival i can think of is isaiah thomas because of his feud with him. But magic johnson is the biggest what if in mj's career. You can never tell what will happen in basketball and you should know that. When magic was in the finals mj wasnt. So we cant really say who the greater one is. If its rings magic has 5. And the mindset of hanging up when u see someone greater is not their mindset lol. They wont get to nba with that pussy mindset. Lastly, given your age, you've got to be open minded. MJ is not a basketball god where all his shots will go in. Probably because you are a diehard mj fan that you think that way. but he is BEATABLE. You just have to give him a very very strong opponent which is MAGIC JOHNSON. I cant say that magic will defeat him given that they got to play in finals together but magic CAN defeat him.
Dakiller1243 well said...but this my friend we will never know concerning magic. but I have heard the man say on more than one occasion that mj is the best the world will see. I've heard that come from his mouth. (side note: the one thing I do hate is that clip they show mj do going to the rim for the layup where he changes hands in flight... that was a useless move and to this day I still don't know why they show it) love mj but I hate that clip. it was senseless.
reaper creeper he said he seen Perkins coming from the right and thought he was gonna try and contend the shot. so he switched hands to lay it up with the left to avoid Perkins
part of what set MJs dunks apart from the modern day players was how he drove through heavy traffic...#3 was awesome and #8 was underrated back when the game was more physical 3 or 4 guys trying to stop him and he still made the dunk
I'm from Jacksonville NC we were in the same conference with Wilmington Laney high highschool. I agree Nobody had a clue. He was a Monster 😲 in Baseball 😂.. Anyway here's a gift prize song .. MJ TAKEOVER CELEBRATION,, LAVA HOT SONG,, NEW SHATT!! HAND UP LIKE JORDAN ⛽🔥🔥🔥,,,,,,ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pzj2dHQkjs4.html
Jordan is the greatest in game dunker because of his jump stop/two leg dunks, which gives the defender time to gather and challenge the dunk, which Jordan came out on top every time.
He did it all. There was a game that Jordan had to play the forward position cuz the team was depleted due to injuries. I think he pulled down like 16 boards. He was incredible.
At 15 yrs. old, I passed on 2 comp tickets (4th row courtside) for the LA game (dunk on Woolridge). I was in OC and couldn't work out the details to get them in LA (no car). And I still remember my missed opp to see the legend in his prime. :(
I see people awestruck when someone who can jump and dunk without a defender in front of them. MJ does it every time on national tv no matter who it was trying to stop him with grace and force! The GOAT and BOAT✌🏻
I always loved the dunk on Kelly Tripucka. The dunk on Orlando Woolridge, who was a power dunker himself and Orlando's smirk knowing he just got postered. The Lakers / Bulls games of the late 80's early 90's were really special. It wasn't really a rivalry and MJ didn't have the GOAT tagged on him yet. You could feel it's going to be MJ's turn soon, but wasn't quite sure it was time. Could MJ really take down Showtime, the Great Magic Johnson and the Lakers. The look on Michael's face at 1:11 is the look though!
^ My thoughts exactly. The dunk on Tripucka, incredible. Jordan took off a lot further out than the dunk on Ewing, and virtually jumped over Tripucka. I see Orlando's grin as good sportsmanship, like a fist bump or pat on the butt. "Nice dunk. You got me." At least he challenged it. Many wouldn't want to for fear of being in the poster.
For folks who dont understand! That dunk on ewing was xtra filthy because mike kept the ball in his left hand the whole time. Thats very very hard to do.
MJ TAKEOVER CELEBRATION,, RAPPER BREAKS DOWN GAME 6 FINALS UTAH... CRAZY. LAVA HOT SONG,, NEW SHATT!! HAND UP LIKE JORDAN ⛽🔥🔥🔥,,,,,,ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pzj2dHQkjs4.html
No wasted motion, no showboating, such purity even on his missed shots. His speed doesn't even get talked about, but he made the best in the world look slow. Those subtle fakes and hesitation moves, MJ is the blueprint for every move you see today.
#1 is #1 for a reason (as well). Ewing dunked on a smaller player earlier in the game (cant remember off hand). Ewing made a bid stink about it. Jordan went to Ewing and said "try that on someone ur own size". something like that. Ewing challenged Jordan as a result. then #1 happened. it was BRUTAL at the time if you remember the back story. this will be #1 in my mind forever not just because of the dunk but because of the backstory and the dunk. wow...
List of big names MJ has dunked on: - Larry Bird (I believe if seen him done it one time on him legitimately) - Kevin McHale - Robert Parish - Julius Erving - Moses Malone - Dominique Wilkins - Charles Barkley - Mark Eaton - Bill Laimbeer - Clyde Drexler - James Worthy - Patrick Ewing - David Robinson - Shaquille O'neal - Alonzo Mourning - Dikembe Mutombo - Manute Bol - Jack Sikma - Chris Webber - Shawn Kemp - Glenn Robinson - Tim Duncan - Jermaine O'neal - Tom Chambers - Sidney Moncrief - Larry Nance
futureicon23 Add another 50 names please, then multiply the total names by 3 in order to get an accurate count on total facial dunks, because he's done it a multiple of times against most of them, and of course the math wouldn't be complete unless you SUBTRACTED his total facial dunk number (over 200) by about 40 due to the sheer number of multiple player facials he's done (dunking in the face of 2,, 3 and 4 players). His grace, body torque, leg kicks, overall artistic composure, uniqueness of hammer and cradle dunks, and his fearless powerful facials - all combined - makes MJ the most versatile dunker ever, unmatched, and the greatest slam-dunker ever - period! He is stronger than people understand... getting hit in the air and finishing while at the same time making his opponents fall like dominoes all too often
+futureicon23 Alonzo Mourning, Dikembe Mutumbo, David Robinson, Shaquile O' Neil. Some of those guys are top 50 players of all time and he did it in there prime. Lebron he even to scared to enter a dunk contest in case he loses because there is so much expectation. Jordan has won it twice..he aint scared of nobody.
All in the course of the game - 10 guys all moving, guys challenging at the rim, no one running out of the lane to avoid getting scored on, no lunatic/stop the game celebrations....better basketball. Period
He didn’t make his high school team. That is why he became the greatest. He worked at it more than anyone and has zero fear. He’s removed emotions and went for it. Every game. The best ever.
He didn't make his high school Varsity team. He was a sophomore that was trying out for the Varsity team, and didn't make it. He still played and shined for the JV squad. He went on the dominated for the Varsity team his junior and senior years. There is a misconception that he was cut completely from the basketball program.
