@@daruneephongpreeda8639if that's the way you Wana meat ride Jordan go ahead my guy, but it called a dunk contest for a reason it's only about dunking, an most professional NBA players can run top speed while dribbling
Zach showed that it's different levels to dunking from the free throw line. & that just shows how the talent of players has elevated throughout the years
No ge equivoques mj fue rebotando el balón ala canasta eso te quita la biada y Zach corrió sin balón eso te ase q brinques mas mas rápido sin el balón en las manos pero aún así no le alcanzo
If you mean talent as natural ability, I wouldn't call Zach more talented. Nobody will look as aesthetic as Mike floating in the air, it can't be replicated. Vince would do a windmill just a foot from the rim and it looked absolutely beautiful. That's pure talent. Athletes do get better in terms of doing more difficult things, and they tend to get more skilled as means of training improve, but some of them are born artists and they show it regardless of the era they live in. MJ is one of them and a rare specimen in this context.
Jordan made it look effortless. He didn't even get up to speed, and only took two steps after picking up his dribble. Zach took 7 steps and put everything into it. Zach has 8.75" hands and Jordans are 11.375". Zach needs the extra time and steps to get a strong grip.
Yes MJ freethrow dunk is iconic, not original, but iconic. Dr. J did it before MJ and Brent Barry did it after MJ. But that Lavine windmill freethrow dunk?! INSANE!!! Im in admiration and awe of MJ as anybody, was fortunate enuff to watch MJ play, but that Lavine dunk?! Anyone old enuff to remember EA Lakers vs Celtics game, David Robinson signature move was the windmill dunk (why, i dunno lol, he wasnt known to be a high flyer or flashy dunker) and he was able to do it from the freethrow line!!! it used to look so ridiculous lmao. Lavine did this video game dunk in real live!!! Id never thought id live to see the day to actually witness it done for real!!!
The real difference is Jordan did this while dribbling, proving excellent ball control, which means he could've done this in game. Levine had to hold it like a football because he would've lost momentum, speed and control.
@@animecharacter952 it does matter when you are trying to measure which dunk was more difficult. When it comes to matters of difficulty dibbling vs not dribbling makes a huge difference that only people who an actual dunk will truly understand.
@@Chase_yield you don’t understand the degree of discomfort I get when I dunk without dribbling. Just because it’s easier for some people doesn’t mean it’s easier for everyone.
@@animecharacter952 so you are telling me that if you were to try and dunk from as far as you possibly could, it would be easier for you if you dribbled?
Zach smashed that, he evolved the free throw dunk....Zach was the first to do a windmill....And we know he can do it between the legs or 360°.... Mike kinda put he's own style on what we had seen before...
Jordan was so smooth. Dribbling up until lift off. In contest, I’m a fan of not traveling with the ball to the hoop on a dunk. Makes me feel like it’d be easy for the player to do the same dunk in a game.
What is impressive about Jordan's dunk isn't the jump from free throw line it's the style and how he looks like he is literally hovering because his insane vertical where the top of his head is reached higher than even the basketball rim.
Hold up… who scoring this…. 8 out of ten Zach Lavine dunk… nobody can even do dat but him let alone on first try… let alone on first try in crucial moment in dunk contest
THE DIFFERENCE IS MIKE DIDNT “TRAVEL” OR “CARRY”……BIG DIFFERENCE WHEN YOU CAN HAVE A FULL RUN COMPARED TO DRIBBLING TO THE SPOT NOT RUNNING FULL SPEED AND STILL GENERATING ENOUGH SPRING TO CATAPULT YOURSELF FOR THAT DISTANCE…..MIKE’S DUNK WAS MORE DIFFICULT! 🐐
Michael Jordan's dunk is often considered more difficult I think cuz the era in which it was performed and there was no advanced training techniques, equipment, and modern sports science. The level of athleticism and skill required to perform such a dunk at that time, especially in a Dunk Contest
Zach’s dunk was 10 times better than Jordan’s. Jordan literally had to start from the other side of the court, while Zach was a little past half court when he started. Also Zach did a windmill which is even harder and let’s not leave out the fact that Zach was further behind the free throw line when he took off and Jordan was ahead of the line or on the line. Lmao Jordan had a 77 foot run up start 😂😂😂
In 1985 Michael Jordan put tape slightly behind the free throw line making where he would takeoff from. In 85 Jordan cleared the paint. Zach never cleared the paint.
yall realise jordan couldve done a windmill, but wanted to honor dr j on his exact dunk. Look at his arm span in the air, easily couldve one a windmill.
James White did this years ago while dribbling the ball, Zach traveled , MJ dribbled the ball and his vertical is 2 inches higher than Zach’s, MJ’s looks more graceful ,
@@Awatix123 By that logic, no NBA player has ever dunked from the FT line since none of them have ever been able to clear the line. It counts as a FT line dunk, as long as your entire foot isn’t clearly past the line.
Y'all smoking Dr j did this dunk when he was already 35 in 1979 he was old y'all don't get it Jordan's idol was Dr j imagine we never got to see him in his prime Jordan did since he lived in North Carolina and he could see ABA games
MJ got up higher, palmed it, and cocked it back. The range of motion Lavine used w his right arm was different, that's it. It looks crazy bcuz we never saw it b4.. MJ got up high enough to use two hands, lol. The difference is that Lavine wanted to create his own version, like MJ did to Dr. Js version. The fact Lavine created so many dunks from the free throw says how much he idolized MJ. Respect. Now if Lavine wouldn't have been actin like a spolied loser the yr he didn't make the all-star team when the all star gm was in Chicago and actually did his 360 from the free throw line, now that would have been the greatest dunk contest dunk of all time. But the FT Dunk King is still MJ because Lavine punked out that year. Imagine what that 360 would have been in a dunk contest...damn.
@@smoothcrimeamielle4632 The way he floats through the air is the most graceful I've ever seen Just feels easy and less tense than other players Kobe is 2nd
@@greedo1228 dude the way he foats the air, is the capture of the SLOW MOTION CAMERA dude, and the slower the setting of slow motion camera, the more it becamw cinematic, or are what you call it GRACE.....its not about float, certainly mj just jump and point his arm holding the ball hoping it will reach the rim.....but zach, windmill it, it means he need to float more in order to do the windmill...if your going to captured zach dunk on the side and make it slower motion, same as Slow motion as Mj dunk was capture....then your will think The person stops in mid air....study more on cinematography
Lo que impresiona de jordan es que es más pequeño y llega casi cn la cabeza a la red al final del mate..no es el más complicado pero si el que más tiempo pasa flotando en el aire y recorre más distancia en el vuelo
Those who say that the best dunk is Michael's is because they do not look at reality and are obsessed, fanaticism has them blind, a true basketball connoisseur knows that Zach's dunk is better and with greater difficulty due to the windmill.
