Circumcision is usually, 90-95 percent of the time preformed at birth. And always by a male doctor. It's a religious marker, probably of whiteness. As practiced in America.
I'm not white nor black but I'm a Christian. I had my son circumcised at birth because I don't want him to feel the pain if it's done when he's older. It's not a religious ritual for us Christians but a part of hygienic practice, prevents risk of infection.
