Knowles comes across like if someone killed Mr. Rogers and assumed his identity and mannerisms, and secretly keeps people in his basement torturing them with nobody the wiser, and the tiniest pangs of guilt slip out occasionally but not enough for anyone to quite pick up on it.
It feels to me like Pearl is trying to signal to potential mates that she is the better option between herself and Michael Knowles. I think you're bullshitting on women gaining nothing from marriage. Alimony, child support, and if the man has any assets, the women gets half. It's a pretty good deal for most of them.

The "standards" thing is super confusing to me because even when someone 100% agrees with the fact their beauty preferences were shaped by a gross society, it's still what they like and i feel it's kind of vile to fault them for it. Is it also vile when they turn around and to try to force people into fitting those standards and being dicks to those who don't? 100%, but those usually aren't the people who recognize their preferences were shaped by society. I really think you like who you like for the reasons you like them and it shouldn't be anyone's business to judge you for it and neither should you be judging people for not fitting your preference (i know "preference" and "orientation" is not the same thing, but still... Just don't be a dick). People that only date others of a certain weight, or a certain height, people that like big boobs, or broad shoulders, big dick, small dick, no dick... If you're not using you preference to invalidade other people, no one should be invalidating you for liking what you like (unless you like criminal sh*t like kids or animals. My vague memory of how things work is that people tend to marry people of their own education level. So people like lawyers marry doctors accountants that sort of thing. Part the reason is that they often meet through educational institutions but more importantly they will have the ability to generate income and share ideas. People tend to marry others who share their world view and religion. Most young people have not sunk into obesity although again this appears a class thing. Davis appears to have a tertiary education but has not had a real job. I an mot sure if Knowles completed collage but he was an actor or something. Thus not two towering intellectuals. They tend not to look outside themselves and their gut feelings or be much interested in crunching data on the issue

I highly disagree on 1 point. I hate that i did only fans type content. I was abused my whole childhood and it was easy money and i was used to creepy men but i continued to sexualise myself and no one around me shamed me. I shame me. I don't want to sell my body for money and the fact i did makes me feel disgusting. I dont think its fair to say that if you were fine with it once you always will be. I noticed you say this a few times now. I started to realise i hated when i was about 24/25 and i was in places in life where i was finally happy and my real self, i started it all when i was 18 way before only fans and back when Tumblr was its old self. I did it for YEARS and now i tell people i regret it.
