This video is based on a movie called death becomes her, it’s about 2 women killing each other over a guy and the song basically is saying that she had him first so when the other girl kissed him she’ll basically be kissing her as well that’s why they kissed

TRUE STORY!! My whole life, I have been called a "Tomboy." I grew up riding motocross on my own dirtbike since age 3, a mechanic, welder, rock climbing and camping, basically anything that kept me busy and outdoors. I always had more guy friends than girl friends. As I got older, things only got worse. Girls constantly spread false rumors and attempted to cause problems with the boys. Every. Single. chance they got. Thankfully I was blessed to have an amazing friend group, family and overall support system because I don't know what I'd have done had they believed even a single one of the awful lies said about me. My point is that girls, women, or females, however you want to put it, are capable of such devious l, backhanded, underhanded, mischievous, and plain MEAN behaviors far beyond ANYTHING I've ever experienced from any male. As cliche as it is to say, there is a reason most my friends are male, girls are capable of a whole other level of MEAN!!

But tbf that's usually how degen pop music is. People give a lot of grief to the hood rappers who portray and depict (and live out) terrible destructivr behavior - but very often they're pretty explicit about how they think they'll be condemned for their actions, they know it's depraved, etc. I honestly don't know if that makes it better or worse. We do seem to focus on sin, despair and dysfunction in our modern art. Certainly in music. Even the elevated, good music these days often revolves around wretchedness.

Because violence is much easier to dissociate with, to know it’s fake. Intimacy is, well, just that. It’s so much more personal, it feels like a violation when you’re brought into other people’s lives like that. I get other people will process it differently, but everyone I know finds it far easier to gauge that violence in media is fake, while intimacy feels far too real. It’s the same reason why seeing smaller injuries like a paper cut between fingers is more visceral than someone, say, losing a limb. It’s more personal, more believable, because you’ve likely done it yourself or could imagine the feeling of it.

To be honest with you, this video is a rip off from a early 90s dark fantasy comedy called “death becomes her” starring Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn, and Bruce Willis. If she didn’t intentionally do this, it’s a huge coincidence because the same stuff went down in the movie.

It seems that a big part of the shock value of the song waa intended to drive home the point that it's harmful for both women to keep attacking each other over a guy who very well might just be playing them both and trying to essentially have a throuple. Even though he's probably the one who is the problem, the women find themselves attacking each other just as many in reali life do when neither of them are really the common factor in their own pain if they would quit trying to competitively try to take the guy from the other. At that point, they might as well just date each other and quit even talking to the guy.
