Yes, I agree. She has a pretty face and her features work well together. (She was, however using cocaine at the time and that is why she is so thin . . . which helps her look good).
@@jasontalbot5916 The downside ISN'T so awesome! (Try getting so addicted it turns you onto crack. Or doing so much cocaine that it makes a hole in your nose the size of a penny! Or assaulting someone because you're high on cocaine and doing real physical damage. Or coming off the cocaine and getting addicted to something else and gaining over 60 lbs). Better to leave it alone . . . that is my advice to the youngsters. Don't ever start and you won't even miss it!!!!
I was thinking about this episode the other day, believe it or not, and about Mark and Barbara's relationship. If Mark was so immature and stubborn that he preferred to go golfing on his wedding day and was late due to it, something tells me that in real life, he would have been an awful husband, which is what they did NOT make the character on this show. But I suppose they needed a conflict for this episode, but after having seen the rest of the series, I see now it was psychologically inaccurate.
This episode was when we really should have gotten how on the outs Philips was with the rest of the cast. Franklin especially bent over backward trying to keep her on the show, but her drug issues doomed her for decades.
Reality over make-believe : she married a rock star instead of a dentist. Talk about your switcheroo-bizarro-world, double-whammy : my fantasy girlfriend married a rock-star, and my real-life childhood girlfriend married a dentist.
I performed a wedding once where they were married and then ran down the aisle. It is not traditional and while it works for TV and movies, I really would not recommend it for a church ceremony--too much too quick.
It did have that dropped V waist of the early 80's. Nevertheless, it looked timeless and could be worn today not like the overdone Princess Diana lookalikes of that decade. Doing it to be reminiscent of Grace Kelly's gown was a good thing. Her gown could be worn today also and not look vintage. Kate's was pretty too, but I did not like the boned-in built- in bra hers had. It looked like those 1950's very unnatural uncomfortable bras. You know like we saw Madonna use in her costumes. I am so glad we have much better comfortable bras today.
I’m sorry but you don’t go play in a old tournament the morning of the wedding. Your car could break down. Anything could happen. You just don’t do that.
@flintknudsen2155 It was not wedding cake nor accessory chosen by Barbara and Mark. It was wrong wedding cake that was delivered. It has nothing to do with racism. I would want wedding cake that I had chosen for my own wedding reception too.
@@sha11235 I was watching E News or ET years ago and they were talking about he wasn't even asked to do a reunion show because she specifically didn't,t want him there. If you watch old shows you can see where she didn't even like being near him, if she could avoid it. (Ex- the Christmas Cruise episode she toasting Max at the end).
@@auntiechercher4266 The observation was she was always the favorite and center of attention, then when he came along he was getting a lot of attention and laughs. Then when they got married it was all about "them" and not "her". She was offered a ODAAT spin off with him and she turned it down flat.
Maybe I missed it what part was racist. Plus most of these shows were what us called satire. Pointing out the racist discrimatory crap. Don't watch All in the family or The Jefferson ( mind you very racist) Satire saying this us how ignorant people are through humor and TV shows
