Check out Trevor Noah, he's is spot on, middle of the road Aussie accent. Not too bogan, not too posh. At 5:06 especially ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YZQ7NL-o6E8.html
@@skullsaintdead hahaha it's amazing 😂😋 I wrote the comment and went to find the clip... Came back with the link (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YZQ7NL-o6E8.html) and there is your comment about the same comedian with the same clip... 🤯😮 What are the odds of that? 🤔 Wow... Have a great day 😃💪
Because we would have claimed him already if he was ours... any hint of a connection to Australia and we claim them. Even if a celeb wasnt born here but had lived here for a day, they would now be Australian 😆
I'm Northern Irish and it's so funny how spot on he is with the difference in accents between the North and the Republic. I absolutely adore the southern accents, they really are so cheery and sing-song-y, but then I hear the northern accents and they always sound as though they're about to bite your head off or knock your pan in 😂
@daro2096 It is a little more than just that, but that is a start! Our rising inflection is obvious in certain areas. Macca did a good general accent :)
My dad's from Northern Ireland..my mum's the south of Ireland... I dated a guy from South Africa...and my best mate's from Liverpool....#conundrum 🇬🇧🇮🇪🇭🇲🏴🇿🇦
I’m a Pom but lived in Australia nearly all my life . Mudbloood I guess but his accents are excellent and his Aussie is pretty great , country Aussies speak much more slowly than the city ones . He is comedy gold 🇦🇺🦘
I love that this comment section is filled with Australians going omg he actually did a good job of our accent 😂😂 everyone butchers it when they try it but he’s done it brilliantly 👏🏼
Being Australian, i can assure you it isn't. Even if you think your doing it right. It never sounds right to an Australian. Any aussie could pick a fack accent out easily. Because its not just about tone and inflection - But the way we say words. People trying to mimic us will say "Australia is quite fun" he said "Straya's quite fun" which is how we speak.
Hands down, Michael is the funniest comedian in the world!!! He can talk about relatable subjects or anything and he will still make it funny. That is talent.❤️
Northern Ireland have widely various accents..... The one he featured is off some politicians from years ago. They range from soft, gentle & lilting to very fast & almost Scottish like. Not surprising as a blend from Scottish cousins etc 😊 Also the South of Ireland blends in as well. We all have our own 'dialects" too 😊particular words & phrases ☺️😂🤣
The south African one was very funny, but my uncle was from south Africa, and like, the properly British section of the population. He was also an English professor and his accent was sublime.
1:17 THIS EXPRESSION WAS HILARIOUS. And holy, if I didn't know Michael and came directly to the part when he was doing an Australian accent, I would think he was an Australian talking about british accents.
Aussie here and yep... I forgot he was English for a moment 🤣🤣 and obviously the South African one is heavily exaggerated but it is really jarring to listen to!
I feel like imitating accents is much better when the speaker says things that would be relevant to the accent of origin... that’s why as an Aussie, i can safely say he’s one of the only foreigners that can do the accent really well 🇦🇺👌
Stand in Bristol travel across the country towards a sort of faint cockney accent go north towards Norwich and discover they’ve all got the same accent as Bristol but nobody knows quite how that happened 😂
I live in New Zealand and have noticed the Irish accent. The Northern Irish protestants have the harsher sounding one. The Catholics have the softer one like the Republic of Ireland. Shows the accent is a reflection of those in your family as opposed to region.
🤪🤣🤣🤣 why can people not do South African accents??? He is so funny! South Africa has multiple accents depending on the province, city, ethnic group. I am South African, 💯 for attempting the accent. 😅🇿🇦🇿🇦
I'm Australian married to a Bristonian. The Aussie accent he did in a perfect English accent, (🤦♂️,) but the Bristonian accent...NOT🤷♀️. And the South African he was not at all close 🙅♀️. But still, he is the best comedian ever!!!!! 👌
I'm sure he's aware but just like in the UK the Australian accent varies (not as much as British accents though). In mst places I've lived people don't sound like that. I usually find that accent in Queensland, or some parts of Victoria. Even in those places though there are plenty of people who don't speak like that. It's just the stereotype
When working in UK, in East London ("Cockneyland") I thought I kept hearing Australians talking - almost .... now we know how and where the Aussie accent evolved?
