Dude you're almost half Finnish now. Spending so much time with Sami and Michael. Stay safe and talk to you at some gig some day here in Finland. Cheers!
Big thanks for this song, Steve! It made me so happy when i first heard it! I was in the gym and started to laugh; just made my day! It is such a cheeky, catchy, funny, cheerful rock song, it was love at first hearing! Thanks to all of you! ❤
Very happy to see some Hanoi Rocks and Michael Monroe! Always been one of my favourites, met him a couple times in Glasgow, lovely guy! True Rock N Roller!

I loved Michael Monroe's album 'Sensory Overdrive', primarily because it was mostly written by my favourite songwriter, Ginger Wildheart, who joined Monroe's band for that tour.
I have seen him live several times and he / they always deliver be it audience of 150 or 1500 or stadium. They are a band with members writing songs. They decided that it is easier to go under Michael Monroe than to try and promote a band with Monroe as a frontman. Monroe has a long career since 1980's and is highly rated by other bands & musicians. There is also other side on the song I think...behind the junkies & al there was vibrant movement and creative people who had no money but they did care about each other and they knew it is rough life. Now squeaky clean and no place to stay, no place to play..while drugs, homeless and all that are a huge problem, the subculture has been driven into corner in the process and the small venues, alternative art and other things have suffered in the process. Also, there is hypocrisy behind the clean facade.
Could you take a listen to Leon Russell? Song for You or Tightrope would be good ones to start with. Very distinct voice and one of the best piano players in rock history. Elton John got his big break in the US when Leon invited him to tour with him in the early 70’s. He also played piano on hundreds of studio albums as part of the wrecking crew. Please give him a listen. By the way this is the first time I’ve heard Michael Monroe. I like it and will definitely be listening to more. Thank you.
NYC still has this smell and vibe that's nowhere else. You just need to go lower. To the to the lower Manhattan, fucking alphabet city, it's still there.
