@@MattsMovieMadness the first one is pretty mediocre. I’d give it a 7/10 at its best. It’s watchable the first time but I don’t have any desire to see it again. Crimes is one of the worst films I’ve ever seen. Secrets had potential but missed the mark.
Fantastic Beast started going downhill the moment it choose to be a Fanfiction on what lead up to Dumbledore's fight with Grindelwald, instead of, you know, a story about Fantastic Beast and where to find Them.
Bruh the series is not based on the book fantastic beasts (It's even shorter than Hobbit) The book is more like a school textbook The choice of going in the wizarding war side isn't the problem it's that it wasn't done good and made things unnecessarily convoluted and there were certain points in the 1st film which indicated the direction of other 4 films. But the screenplay of 2nd film was really poor and couldn't hold the new characters and plot points together that's why they felt bit too much for the film Glad that 3rd film fixed the issue but the film should've been bit better and both things are balanced
Bruh I hate what they did with fantastic beasts. Like I get that they want to tell more stories about the universe and the history of this world, but come on, the title is literally fantastic beasts. The first movie had a good balance of like fantastic beasts and newt and everything, as well as unrelated lore, but then all the movies after have nothing to do with that. Again, I get that they wanted movies about grindlewald and stuff, but then they should've made a separate series so fantastic beasts could actually live up to its name past the first movie. Especially since I've heard they're planning on replacing newt with a different protagonist, because people don't like that he's softspoken and kind and awkward. Sorry for the rant, I just really love the book and the first movie and newt and then they ruined it
2nd one derailed from the fantastic beasts title bit too much and they were there just for show that's why it's the worst wizarding world movie But the new one had this balanced again and the beast was actually part of the story but was overhated due to depp's departure Rating idk why but is fucking lower than 2nd one
They can't replace Newt, that would be a nail in coffin Instead they'll keep him with Dumbledore being the 2nd protagonist This multiple protagonist thing will be there in the series just like it was in the new one
Sorcerer's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and "Fantastic Beast 1" are the only Wizarding World films I saw in full. Didn't bother with continuing with the other films (since I'm not that much into the whole franchise like my parents are, especially my mom)
Prizoner of azkaban was kinda amazing and the first movie of fantastic beast was great the second one is kinda boring but the ending part of the second movie was kinda great depp just carried the whole movie and the ending the third movie was kinda mid actually ididin't feel mads was grindelwald but his performance was great too i wish they rehired johnny in wizarding world because him as grindelwald is cruel
Imma say it, Fantastic Beasts 2 was actually really good. The best of the three films. The third was trash and the first was good but 2 just showed Grindelwald so well.
Exactly, i loved the magic of the first one, the briefcase scene, the escape of creatures roaming around New York and Newt trying to catch them....but then they just went with classic "oh heres a bad wizard who wants to reign the world (with other purebloods), we gotta stop him!"
@@themarvelboy3818 Saw in theaters when it came out, for me good wouldnt describe it, was like, mediocre/bad...i kept waiting for something to happen and even the end really didnt fullfill me
