@@t-bird_the_goat983 odell hasnt played a full season in any of his years, mike is definately better overall receiver, he has better attitude and he is always working hard even in run game, he does great blocking, odell is a diva a liability, have to keep fingers crossed for him, for self inflicted panelties, coz he is hot head.
@@lonelythreat The only advantage any of those WR have is a lil more speed, that's it.and it hasn't seemed to affect MT ability...It would be interesting to see how those players fair without as much speed!
He's the second coming of Cris Carter. In all the good ways. That combination of hands, the ability to make contested catches, awareness of where that first down marker is, everything. And he deserves to be paid like it. He's the first receiver Brees has had in his entire career who's made Brees better and not just the other way around. Not trash-talking Quiet Storm or anyone else, but let's be realistic.
16:13 - Such an amazing throw by Brees. What many people don't realize is that since Brees is a short QB he can't just throw the ball above a D-lineman's head. He needs to find passing lanes to do so. This is a perfect example of how Brees has to throw the ball, and he does it perfectly. Such an amazing QB
It's just honestly crazy how good he is. I mean, he's really not fast at all, he's tall but not exceptionally built, yet he always gets open. Even his cuts are slow compared to like Jones or Hopkins or others.. But he still dominates. Can you imagine having Hopkins with Thomas? No way we could afford it, but if that were to happen Saints would be unstoppable.
@@timothywashington880 I might be crazy but Nola should want a young upcoming QB and Brees isn't getting any younger but he's still producing tho but for I wanna a young QB that give me 10 years or more but Nola it's your call on that
@@mikejay328 How do u know that they don't want a young QB...in 2017 they were definitely about to take Mahommes but the Chiefs jumped in front of them and although I'd love to have Mahommes I'm glad we didn't because the domino's fell perfectly with 4 good Defensive Players and 2 good offensive players but if Payton see's a good young QB he likes, trust and believe He'll draft him but he likes the two guy's he has in Bridgewater and Hill but I'm not going to play head coach or GM and act like I know more than them, I'll trust their judgment!
Jaquell Thomas exactly but having speed isn't the only way to be a great WR as he's proven over his 3 year career! But that's how these uninformed fans think though!
Cmillerdaniel "Blasphemy" This man is so much better than Colston and I loved Colston, when Colston was here we were loaded at the WR and TE position Henderson Meacham Moore Shockey... Thomas is the reason the Saints were not hesitant to trade B.Cooks but they don't have that Luxury this time and be f'n real, the Saints haven't had a WR like this probably ever, definitely not in the Payton Brees era!
@@timothywashington880 if only Brandin Cooks accepted his role in this offense, on the other hand we got Ryan Ramczyk from the trade so it really wasn't a huge loss for us considering how much of a boost we got in the run game from it. But could imagine having Cooks instead of Ginn with Tre'quan improving in the slot with Keith Kirkwood and Jared Cook? Lol
@@ryapowa Well he was playing his role but There was no way the Saints could have paid him and Thomas,Thomas made it easier for the Saints to trade Cooks instead of letting him go in FA and getting nothing in return, Cooks made the Saints decision easier with his rant in the interviews after the beat down of the Rams in 2016 in which he had no targets, the Saints definitely won that trade and it was a good decision!
@@timothywashington880 He was playing his role but he wasn't happy with it as you mentioned. He didn't want to be used as a decoy to help his teammates get more open, he wanted the ball himself and thus he expressed his discontent. Again I understand that higher tier players require higher tier contracts, but we're also gonna have to pay Ramczyk, are we not? Elite tackles aren't cheap e either lol
@@ryapowa To his credit I've never heard a peep out of Cooks until that game, he had no targets at all and I understand that in Payton's Scheme you're not always going to get the ball if there are other viable options but a tackle especially a right tackle will never command the money a good WR will, there was no way they would've been able to pay both Thomas and Cooks at those prices and his contact was coming up the following year they traded him
@@619xquickscopexx here's a little info for ya, everyone was amazed how Hopkins had 105 straight catches without a drop.... Thomas went 22 straight games, 198 catches without a drop. And this year he caught passes from 3 different qb
Sherman Brown facts he did catch from 2 different qbs but the sad thing is that the two qbs he has had just as much success as the best Qb from the Texans and the systems they are in is unbelievable incredible compared to the dooms of the Texans organization
