Shannon and I were freshman at Savannah State College (now) University in 1986. I had the honor and privilege watching him play football for four years. As I sat in the stands for four years watching Shannon, the catches he made never disappointed us. Yes, in college he was a highlight reel every Saturday. Shannon was also a good guy off the field too. I am proud of Shannon. Thanks Shannon for always shouting out Savannah State. #2TigerProud!

The hall of fame did him dirty. He definitely should have been first ballot hall of fame. He was the all time leader in the major categories and won three Super Bowls. The voters be on a power trip.

Really was ahead of his time because no one was using the term hybrid back then. But hybrid was exactly what Sharpe was playing the TE position. Could have easily been recognized as a BIG WR but utilizing his stature at TE was genius. He use to toy with LB in pass coverage and was a little too powerful for most DBs in any type of press back then. No surprise he ended his career a 3x Superbowl champion. An eventual HOFr.
