He was the best keeper ever played! No keeper is better than him. Good ground keeper, in the air and he was very quick. Eye for the ball and a good footballer overall.

Still Highly underrated internationally somehow. But look at his technique. Incredible jumping power giving him a lot of range for a relatively short goalkeeper, expert in one on one situations. could catch balls that few would even attempt to actually catch, ridiculous reflexes coupled with great reading of the game, and could be relied on with his feet... The complete package

I've seen Preud'Homme, and now Courtois...don't get me wrong but, Courtois is miles away from Preud'homme...and I've been told (from my uncles) that Pfaff was even better than MichelPdH...

I remember watching Champions League highlights back then in 1998-99 was thinking... Without Preud'homme Benfica barely would have any points. It wasn't the defenders, but only him to avoid defeat.
