Michelin Road 6 tire is arguably the best sport touring motorcycle tire on the market right now.... and it shows! expensive but excellent with a long life, making it probably cheaper in the long run than a budget tire. watch for more info!

I fitted these to my v4 pikes peak, felt odd at first after the standard rosso corsas ,Pirelli’s . But I love them now, in the wet they are remarkable,so good in wet and even at very low temperatures. I live in Scotland and do still manage to get out over winter. Rest of time I’m straight into the twisties. I got 5500 ish miles out of rear , over 7000 from front. Bikes at 13000 now. Great tyres , 👍👍😊

Best tires i have ever had on my Yamaha FJ-09. I get about 6K-ish miles, very aggressive miles that is. Highly recommend!!

1290S + P6: Great tire, never slipped once in the wet. Neutral handling. No high speed issues. When part warn it got sensitive to road band (looking at you M25), but that passed. Very long lasting tire. Currently using Tourance Next 2, as the Pilot 6 were not in stock. No issues with the Next 2, feel like the P6 if I'm honest.

I have them on my 1290 SAS. Great tyres for all conditions. Before that, I had gen 5 an 4 on my previous bikes. Never been disappointed. I think they offer the best grip for the tyres that last long. No more expensive than other leading brands.

Great edge to edge performance on the road, awesome in wet or dry, stable and reassuring, with excellent wear. Steer a little slow, just every previous Road Pilot model before.

Excellent tires…. I put a set on my RT last season, replacing the Pilot Road 5’s. I like the profile of the six’s better - turn in feels a bit quicker and they hold the line as on rails. Very secure feeling, predictable, great grip.

I agree about chicken strips and riding on public roads at reasonable speeds. If I stay at posted speeds or no more than about 5-7 mph greater in curves I don’t lean more than about 25deg. I have multiple BMWs and on the R1250 R roadster model I have the Sport screen on TFT and I monitor lean angle for fun. I think max I have ever gone is 27deg in very tight turns.

Only issue I have with the is they are very slow steering. I put them on my S1000R and sold them after 40000kms. I think on bikes like Multi's and XR's they need a faster steering tyre which is great in all conditions and decent life. Get some Michelin Power 6. Put them on they will wake up the steering high stature bikes...and do it all.

Thank you, Paul. I'll be replacing my Metzelers soon and am torn between these and the Pirelli Angel GTII, this might just swing the dial in favour of the Road 6s

According to people I've heard from. It's quite possible to get up to 18 000 miles/30 000km with varied riding (not just motorways or just twistie roads). Full transparency, I've sold them for a motorcycle dealer for 2 years. I had a sett on my previous bike, and I whole heartedly trust them for all but ice, snow or mud. I will 100% get them for my next tire change.
@ianburns5789
@ianburns5789 3 месяца назад
I’ve heard the same but I’ve no idea how anyone can get that many miles out of this tyre..I’ve got these on my bike and I’m on the 3rd rear tyre and the most I’ve had out of a rear is 5,200 miles and it was absolutely knackered..the front tyre I’ve managed 7,000..saying that,that’s a lot more than I managed out of the metzler 01se ..
@Roy_Godiksen
@Roy_Godiksen 3 месяца назад
@ianburns5789 It depends on: riding style, weight, bike type, bike balance, road surface, variety of riding, average temperature, average weather, passenger/luggage, how hard you accelerate, engine breaking, breaking, and So much more. I have melted a S22 front tire in less than 3500km, I was at the tread wear indicator at 2700km Street riding only. Others get 10 000+km on that same tire. Too many variables to say, which is why no motorcycle manufacturers have a guaranteed life on any of their tires. But some car manufacturers have it.

Roy, I agree 100%. I am replacing the rear on my 1600GTL. It had 18k+ till it was toast. Running the GT's, excellent tire. The front still has some life left. It been my go to tire for the the last 45k, don't see it changing any time soon.

@paullandreth-smith1546
@paullandreth-smith1546 26 дней назад
I have the regular Road's. The GT is more fit the bigger, heavier touring bikes. It would still work on the XR, and probably get better mileage. TBH I don't push the bike hard enough for it to make much of a difference.... it's such a fast bike of you're pushing hard, you're going WAY faster than you probably should on the road lol

Great grippy tyre, but prone to punctures and difficult to repair due to the tread pattern.

Just swapped mine back to the Road 5s. The 6s have a nasty habit of following tar snakes, which can be quite disconcerting.

Im glad you mentioned the chicken strips and that the only way to get rid of them is in a race track, not on the road or you are asking for trouble. 😂. I just brought a Tracer 9 GT plus and wonder what tyres to put it once I’ve gone through the ones that are in it now. I’ve got Mitches on my other bike and they have been really good in all weather. I’ve just retired from the police so looking to put some good mileage on my bikes!

Why is it so difficult for motovloggers to use the proper name for equipment? The lack of knowledge reduces the credibility of commentary.

@paullandreth-smith1546 Месяц назад
Why is it so difficult for some people to just comprehend the fact that a dude who is not a motovlogger but is a dude who just likes bikes wants to share that these tires are good and isn't trying to be some professional thing. Wow, how full of yourself must you be to want to make a comment like that. 'You shouldn't comment on things unless you are a subject matter expert!'. Ok, whatever.
