And thats what she got. The 14 years and some months to be served I am pretty sure has to do with parole and that prisoners in general gets time off for good behaviour on top of that. Which again has to do with overcrowded prisons all over America. The judge only wouldnt let there be no realease opportunity before those 14 years and some months. Very often prisoners get out after only having served a little over half the time given . Anyway I believe she got off much too easy. No matter her previous normal life without incidents but in your system the judge have to consider even that. Good day from Norway.

Good grief, the woman with the long black hair fiddling with her glasses and the man next to her were actually talking during one of the statements! Show some respect! The woman actually made a motion with her hands as if to say they were “yakking “. And - defense attorney woman, whoever you are - you don’t get to shake your head and make a face during her best friend’s impact statement just because you don’t agree. You don’t get that right. I bet if it were your family and loved ones were making impact statements, you would’ve shown more respect. Shame.
The photo of Jennifer on her fiftieth birthday, surrounded by her kids who clearly adore her, looking so healthy and happy and beautiful with her children - broke me. You can see how close and loving their little group is. Jennifer was genuinely happy in spite of the ugliness and spite that her ex and Traconis were throwing at her at that time. It is clear that being a mother was her untouchable source of joy.

I think Judge Randall was very reasoned and measured in sentencing. While I was hoping she’d get 20 years, at 14 1/2 years, she’s not getting off with a slap on the wrist. If people are upset with the “light” sentence, they need to take it up with the CT legislature, which sets the guidelines on criminal sentences.

@@eyeronycrickets7605 she was never charged as the murderer. She was charged with conspiracy and tampering with evidence and was found guilty by a jury of both of those charges.

How deceiving she is and should have noticed her daughter’s behavior and intervened much earlier as her daughter appears to have little to no boundaries and possibly a significant personality disorder! Family and friends described her as an outstanding person , what changed her? This case is very sad and 5 kids will not see their lovely mom ever again . They are very lucky to have lovely people around them , I have no doubt they will have a lot of success in life thanks to those ÁNGELS surrounding them, especially the sweet grandmother. For Michelle, she was found guilty, and will not get out of jail until she is 63 1/2 years old . I think is fair. I’m not sure what is actually the max in this case . I’m very sorry for everyone suffering , especially those 5 kids and grandmother.
In that case there is not justice for Jennifer, her children , her mom and friends . But Michelle will never have peace for destroying a beautiful family, she has no values what so ever and didn’t care for her own daughter, who is also suffering for her cruel actions. Very ugly/evil case .

These children are not wrong and are entitled to how they feel. How awful. I feel for them so…. Michelle may not know it all. She must take responsibility for her part in any of it, but their father is the nucleus, the cause, ultimately to blame. He isn’t here to hear these pleas. I’m just not sure she knows more than she has told. She also is a victim of his, no? It was prob in her best interest to go along with whatever Fotos did. Those children were well spoken, speaking with grace and measured anger in the face of their awful, new and forever reality. It sounds like there is 2 very opposite and marked sides to Michelle. What struck me the most though, was the absence of any apology to Jennifer’s family and her children. It was sadness and pity for only herself. The consequences of Michelle’s actions now have to be paid. Jennifer will no longer be able to see her children and live the life with them that she deserved. Michelle still has that opportunity.
Wow, I am so impressed by this judge. A brilliant summation, thoughtful consideration, giving the perfect reasons as to the punishments. People in positions of power who can do these tough decisions, is why our justice system works.

Awesome Judge!!!! I respect his sentence because She perhaps didn’t actually kill Jennifer. She covered up and assisted that horrible man. For that she will pay. The coward left her hanging.
They have guidelines to follow, if he were corrupt, he wouldn’t have ruled over this trial as thoughtfully as he did. He ran a very by the book courtroom, I certainly didn’t see any signs of corruption. Just because you don’t like the outcome you still act as an adult and use this to better understand the letter of the law. If up to me she would serve life. However, that’s just emotional and not reality of the law.
Fotis was a good father and driven to what he did by severe mental illness person who prevented him to be a father and played games with him and others. He was the victim as far as I am concerned.
