@@EJ257IHI Not the officers' fault. Hands tied by the lefty Michigan government. Arkansas would have put both of those criminals in the obituaries in the first 10 minutes.
When it became common law to have body cams/dash cams & release them to the public for transparency- I think many, like myself, felt in some way that it would only be to catch the corrupt cops in action mostly during situations that one seriously "had to be there" to understand. And, yes, they have helped in those situations tremendously. What I don't think I ever expected, was the degree in which we can see all of these on YT- seeing the footage that should be seen just as importantly- ..THIS. Officers who do the job with the upmost professionalism, respect and courage. To see all these types of videos here, I have gained an even greater appreciation for the job. It used to be, you rarely saw these amazing people in action and only heard of their excellent performance on the job if they won a medal or were part of a big case, then published in the news. Getting to see the real scope of what these officers do day to day and the insane situations they engage in to protect the people. Respect!
I'm good with transparency to keep people accountable. I have a problem with the people who take the dash cam, body cam and whatever cam they have and post only the things they want people to see. Many times, it exposes only the actions of the cop that look wrong to paint a false picture. I'm not referring to bad cops. I'm referring to painting a false narrative that leads to further societal decay.
Cameras aren't common law, there are still lots of departments not using them or "forgetting them". They should be, but they aren't. It's more than likely "department policy" to wear them. At most they'd get a reprimand and or paid vacation for not wearing one. Still catch plenty of tyrannical small town cops enforcing their own little dictatorships and violating the oath they swore to the constitution.
Trooper goes airborne. Other officer "you ok?" Trooper "don't know, that was awesome though" Someone check the weight limit on those cruisers, might need better suspension for the size of those solid steel balls he is rockin.
Holy crap…this gave me anxiety. I can’t imagine what these officers were feeling! Thank you for everything you do on a daily basis to help to keep us all safe!
Did you hear all the coughing going on after they stopped the pickup ? That was the sound of cops barfing . The other thing they do is deep breath to help decrease the adrenaline they are experiencing. I watch a lot of these video and have a great deal of respect for our traffic cops. A bit of trivia, why are cops called cops? At one time their badges were made out of copper.
O.m.G. this was the most nerve racking, hart rising, video that i had seen in a while. I was so close to my phone screen, i didn't want to lose a single detail, and that police officer, a take my hat off to you good sir, your skill and cojones are awesome, stay safe everyone.
@@aperson9495yea I was fixing to say the same thing 😂😂😂 you can tell it's a car with him right up behind that truck, I don't see how it wasn't that obvious.
So true. He was humble in the way that he handled himself. He was calm, respectful in the way that he gave non conflicting instructions. Some officers are so full of themselves that they escalate and add to the situation that they are dealing with. My hats off to this officer and the others. They were shot at numerous times by the passenger of that truck yet he was treated decently and respectfully. Others whose life was not threatened come to the scene with power tripping attitude that escalates the situation and cause unnecessary arrest or harm to the person that they are dealing with.
Excellent job by all involved. U guys will live on as a shining example. Excellent enough to be utilized as a training vid for future generations of police and dispatchers
The one that crashed is a real trooper, he spun around and get right back up there. Amazing how far they will go and put their lives on the line for us. Thank you so much for all that you do for the public safety. You are true heroes God bless and keep you safe, always.🙏❤️🇺🇸
Killed me how he kept getting told to "take him out, take him out" and he had to repeat he was being shot at! After all was said and done the officer wasn't injured and both suspects were captured alive. Kudos to that officer for that amazing, dangerous capture. ❤❤❤
How the troopers car hit the rear tire of the truck and bounced up and off of it and still remained functioning and drivable is a true testament to the durability of both vehicles.
I'd like to know whatever happened to those Grappler devices that tangle up the rear tires and sometimes the driveshaft. Cop cars should have guns mounted in the grill so police can shoot back while driving.
@@stoveboltlvr3798 I myself loved watching a group of police I think in Brazil where they used a helicopter and unloaded on a truck. Now that's the way to do it
I’m from Michigan and I have to drive I 75 both north and south to winter in Florida every year, much respect for the OSP. God bless them, I can tell you the drivers in Ohio respect the laws much more so than other states. And that is due to the OSP always visible 👍🏻
My Dad was an Ohio State Patrolman for 25 years. God rest his soul….all the stuff he saw in a lifetime, I cant image.. I have so much Respect for these officers. He said the worst was coming upon car accidents with children deceased. That was hard to take. Bless all good Cops.
@@dragginthatwagonI was wondering the same thing, made no sense, there are a lot of firearm laws, laws dont stop those who choose to break them, so any "regulations" arent going to stop these people.
Pretty impressive. Love how they all stayed cool and one officer was calmly giving commands over the speaker. I really believe shit gets crazy sometimes when 20 cops are yelling different shit.
Pay attention to the P.I.T avoidance move that the pickup kept doing. Every time the trooper tried to pit he would swerve toward the pit. In turn shifting the weight of the vehicle towards the pit.
Police said Ronnie Oliver, 44, of Ann Arbor and Stephen M. Jones Jr., 29, of Monroe, were responsible for a deadly carjacking Saturday. Jones was flown to a hospital with serious injuries. Oliver is in the Hancock County Jail.(WTVG) A search for two suspects wanted for a deadly carjacking in Monroe ended with a police pursuit and officer-involved shooting in Hancock County, Ohio Saturday.
@@philipcarr92You need to watch some videos of Arkansas State troopers in action. They end these kinds of pursuits very quickly and if the criminals fire at them they immediately take appropriate action. They aren’t required to ask permission.
Cop had balls of steel getting close enough to PIT after being shot at. I'm glad there were no motorcycles on the highway that day as that guy was driving like he was going out in his own warped version of glory. I was surprised he came out alive. Great video.
They passed one Motorcycle, luckily they were on the off-ramp coming down so I don't think the suspect saw them. But it would've been bad if they did and decided to hit them.
Even ASP will back off if you start shooting rounds towards them, of course ASP will give you the "Rolling Gun-Battle" treatment and take you out.@@chocolatecoveredgummybears
When I realized that officer who spun out was trying to catch up........the speed he must have been traveling made my haert skip a beat or two. Tells his buddies, "yeah, I'm fine, I'm coming, I"ll catch up" oh my goodness and so calm about it! I'm sitting trying to carch my breath and calm my heart down and he's just chill. That's a real trooper!
When he first asked for what the minimum speed at which he is allowed to do a PIT and was told by the supervisor that he had to stop him no matter what and he answered *_OK,..._* from that point on he realized that it was about his life, because at that point the suspect was still trying to shoot him. He constantly tried to calm himself down, taking deep breaths, because he knew that it meant damn serious business! I can't even imagine how you get through something like that without getting atleast 3 days off afterwards.
And he may have. I work in a similar environment. (Where these maniacs are going to spend hopefully the rest of their lives. When we have an incident generally officers do take a day or two off. Blowing off self-care like tough TV cops is idiotic. It leads to the highly publicised problem cops we have today.
This is a deadly force situation so any speed is sufficient. When I was twaching EVOC and PIT any speed over 40mph is a use of deadly force. Obviously speeds over 40 here is 100% justified. Also if they had PID at the rest area the officers couldve shot him when he tried to flee.
Even when they arrest you, they are very polite and friendly, if you are to them. Not like city cops who treat you might dirt for jay walking on an abandoned road.
Amazes me how fucked up somebody can lose control of their life so badly to where they are willing to do something like this . Somebody with absolutely nothing to lose has to be the scariest shit .
You said it brother. I’ve been arrested like 5 times in my 20s and doing some wild shit too… but every time I got caught it was “yes sir, sorry sir.” And I shut my mouth and was polite. It went a LONG way with arresting officers and judges. I always flipped that switch. People with nothing to lose and with no more “get out of jail free cards” are the ones who wild out, see red and wind up face down shot by cops complaining about how they “can’t breath” - pulling every last stunt they can to avoid prison. Then some just force the cops to kill em.
@@Mike-hn4uu completely agree! I was always respectful to cops and still am . If I ever got pulled over it was literally 80% warnings and the rest basic tickets . And I’m dark as fuck . All of these videos of the I can’t breathe shit could have 100% been avoided by just simply not resisting or being combative . Most cops are not racist and not corrupt. You think by know people would realize what resisting, fidgeting in pockets , etc can lead to death. Schools should be teaching this to high schoolers due to how serious the results can be. Being a cop is not easy and is highly negative. These dudes are always on edge for a reason .
@@Morrow_25I'm glad there are some African Americans who realize that if they would just simply obey the officers commands, after being stopped and detained, the outcome would go so much better and no one would get hurt. If you don't give the police any reason or justification to escalate and use lethal/deadly force, then the situation would go so much better for EVERYBODY. Problem is people nowadays simply refuse to obey the authorities because they believe the laws don't apply to them.
He may have been fucked up, but the consequences of his actions has taken him on to another level………of NO RETURN. That level is………The Oblivion Of Doom!
"Help help help help" yea, screw you buddy! I've never seen such a disrespectful runner! He swiped random cars way after it was clear that wasn't going to make them back off, took several shots at an officer and whoever else was in the background and hit and swerved at several cruisers! You get no sympathy!
dont get to ahead of your self our ohio highway patrol can be assholes sometimes and i mean it they can but it might just be the ones over here on the east side of ohio
A half hour of this guy shooting and smashing into others. What part of doin a good job are you talking about? Lucky as f the cops didn’t let him kill more people in the road.
He was low-level panicked the whole time. You can hear how shaky his voice was at multiple points and how he nearly took himself out at 7:31. What he wasn't was hysterical, but he was very much showing slight panic. I can't blame him for fearing for his own mortality, but saying he wasn't panicked is discounting his actual care and fear for his own life.
@@llamacebu216not everyone is used to driving 100 mph attempting pits while simultaneously getting shot at. But sounds like you got mad GTA skills princess.
Whoever the Trooper was leading this pursuit, MAD PROPS TO YOU. You're dedicated& kept a far more level head than most of your comrades could've& would've in that same position.
@Unknown74658 oh? Was he supposed to pull his wand and cast "Motorvehiculas stopus" on the perp's vehicle? Because you don't PIT someone at high speed unless you really want to kill the person or yourself. You hear the Trooper question it because he knows it's dangerous, and confirm that it's alright to do it at any speed because it is a near certain death sentence for the perp. Especially in a truck that is significantly more likely to roll then a car.
This cop had numerous chances to pit him on the drivers side, and knowing the passenger shot at him twice he still tries pitting on the passengers side...😳🤔😏
@@4336aaayeah I'm sure every cop loves getting shot at for a rush lol the officer he shot at didn't love anything about it. After that first shot he was afraid to get close to him because I'm guessing he wasn't enjoying it and was scared for his life.
I saw the NC highway patrol doing driving training. They shut down a section of interstate that went into a cloverleaf. They would come into the cloverleaf at 100mph and those cars stuck the entire turn that’s when I knew there’s no way in hell you’re ever getting away. Let alone the radios and air assets. But the ballsiest thing was each car had an instructor in it and would tell the driver gas, gas, little brake, gas and they acted like it was nothing just a normal day. I’d been scared shitless they was gonna wreck at that speed
NCSHP has a closed course driver training facility off E. Tryon Rd in Raleigh where they learn to drive long before they get to the Interstate Highway training. Plug 35.727938936194064, -78.63307824973121 into Google Maps.
This was the most outstanding chase I’ve watched. All police departments worked together to keep this horrible person on the interstate away from exiting into neighborhoods. Blocking the exit ramps was absolutely genius. All officers involved in this pursuit need a months paid vacation in paradise! The citizens in this location are extremely lucky to have such outstanding officers to keep them safe. I live in NW PA, so proud to have such outstanding officers as neighbors ♥️👮♂️♥️
Have any criminals ever attempted a PIT on the other car in order to cause it to swirl and therefore obstruct the pursuing cop cars? The guy appeared to get too close to others from behind, as if he were planning it.
Man….they should of ended this ASAP, how do they not just put 2 officers in a car and use a shotgun on both back tires to immobilize the truck!!?!??! That dude put so many people at risk, police need to be better prepared for those situations imo.
Findlay Oh (Flag City), high speed chase capital of the USA... as i watched a couple of these police chases I told my wife, I've been thru this area on my way to Toledo and Detroit many times. Being from NC, I love Ohio!!!
You can kinda tell the first officer is young! It made me sad for him because you could tell he was so nervous but he handled it like a pro! Got right back in there!
Note to drivers: if you see a car driving over 100mph and 25 cop cars behind it with lights and sirens, you may want to get out of the way!……how frustrating of a job is that?
Ik it's ridiculous how people don't get out of the way not only for cops but ambulances and fire trucks the cops should look at the video and all of the cars that didn't get out of the way should be ticketed
@@roberthance5342 that would be an ideal world, not making any attempt to get out of the way unless you literally cannot go anywhere should be ticketed
From a retired officer’s point of view, we understand that some people freeze and don’t know what to do when they see us behind them. It’s irritating, but it’s the nature of some people. When you’re traveling at 120 or more, they don’t see or hear you until you’re right behind them sometimes, and they panic. You’d think seeing a vehicle, fleeing ahead of us, go around them at the same speeds would be enough for people to understand what is going on and what they need to do, but sometimes they just don’t. Going around someone, on the right, is an anomaly for us. That’s for the safety of the civilians. Some of the dumbest driving I’ve ever seen was when I was running hot down the interstate. I’ve seen people drive at high speeds into the median. I’ve seen people speed up and drive 120 also, which made me wonder why, but I didn’t have time for them because the original call I was responding to took priority. I’ve seen people crash. I’ve seen people just stop right in the middle of the road. I love people, but some of them are either stupid, ignorant, or just panic and don’t respond reasonably. It’s rarely done on purpose, and if you looked them all up and ticketed the driver, it wouldn’t change a thing. I did have a trooper ticket the one that drove 120 in front of me, however. She was still in my way. I was driving 140 before she slowed me down. I didn’t drive quite that fast often.
Awful when he said he couldn't put his seatbelt on, going at such a high rate of speed while attempting several pit maneuvers. What great lengths they go to, to keep us safe. God bless all Police Officers
Talk about one hell of a ride. I will give the first Trooper in the Leed credit he was doing everything he could. But I could tell he was definitely the leery of getting too close after they started shooting. I love the Troopers response on the first real attempt. They asked him if he was okay and he said he didn't know but that was awesome
Georgia state police would have put an end to that pursuit about 20 mins earlier. Primary could not drive for shxt even knowing his life depended on it at some point
Cop is poorly trained. U don't drive up close to a vehicle shooting at you unless you have A PLAN. Either shoot at him or hang behind and wait for another opening. Cop is very lucky.
This is the sort of chase where you have someone with you and you shoot back at them...fuck the "but they fleeing" excuse. They shoot at you, shoot back at them
I think deadly force should have been authorized even before that. Anytime anyone flees from the police it's such a high rate of speed and so recklessly that they endanger the lives of everyone else on the road.
They don’t do it for safety. I mean let’s be honest the risk of hitting someone innocent is pretty high. You’re not going to be accurate shooting out of a moving vehicle. It’s also a liability issue.
@@Motorkid98 Hmmm safety huh?? How about when they hit somebody, maybe take out a family. There's no making this safe or safer. They were in a lot of open spaces that shooting would be minimal risk to innocent people.
Deadly force was authorized and rightly so. I just wish they would have used it and saved taxpayers 80-100k a year in prison costs. Whoever that lead officer was, mad props to you. You spun out, got shot at multiple times, tried to pit him several times unsuccessfully and still you just kept right on going like some indestructible force that was hell bent on stopping these guys. Just amazing how calm you stayed throughout.
He asked for mercy and for them to be careful, unreal. Officers showed a lot of restraint to not just end it all with a few shots. I dont agree with how long this actually took. Had plenty of opportunities to pit him early, especially when he tried to make other drivers panic and swerve in front of police.
As long as the jobs done safely they controlled the situation as much as they could they couldn’t just stop him he was being shot at they waited for the opportunity and they stopped him and got the suspect in cuffs ALIVE and in what it seemed to be stable condition great job troops
Did you watch the video? He shot at the cop at least three times. PIT maneuver requires you to actually make contact with his truck. There was two people in the truck. The passenger could have shot him during the PIT.
I thought all those exits the police were blocking and he drove fairly close to them if they had spike stops out they would have got him long before the lengthy chase
7:44 to 8:54 he's the fucking flat out God of the highway. It reminded me the Good Ol' Boys van chase in "The Blues Brothers" overtaking everything was on its path. "Oh yeah, just... you know, a little spin out". Pure understatement.
Big salute to the trooper! Man your training and willpower paid off. What a nice ending! Kudos to the amazing work you put in day in day out! Watching from Toronto!!
What as fiasco!! They should have taken him in the rest area. Hiding behind trucks that could’ve got caught in the middle of a crossfire. What a bunch of idiots.
@Loosesapphire5135 but dont L.E.O.s shoot unarmed suspects running on foot? Make it make sense. This wasnt a shop lift case, but a muder suspect who literally proved he is willing to kill again. Its literally on this video. No explanation needed. #tribematters #rockwithyourown
Damn, that trooper is really a badass one, got shots fired at him, was taken out, then almost crashed completely, but even then he managed to continue pursuing the suspect and then calmly communicating with the passenger to get him into custody Well done all other officers as well!
Oh, my goodness!!! 😮I have never seen anything like that before. The Officers are going through some very dangerous challenges. God's blessings for you guys. 😔🙏
My older brother was a Michigan state trooper. I remember he was one the arrest officers, back in the early 90's where a man committed 2 murders in Ohio then drove in to Michigan killed the first person he saw, so he can face trial in Michigan spending his life in prison, that way he wont get tried in Ohio because they have the death penalty.
