Next time you’re in Holland Michigan, another cool place to visit is Holland Island gardens… has beautiful tulip 🌷 gardens in spring, which are replanted in annuals in summer. Has an authentic windmill, and many other features that were brought in from the Netherlands from back in the days they came there. Beautiful place your garden loving viewers would enjoy.

At time stamp 2:33, Camp Betsy fyi: Those aren’t old piers or docks you see at the beach. They are put there to control sand movement & for sand retention. Not for boats😏 I’m back down Ludington way right by the State Park:) Welcome to my home. Great video. I just moved back from San Diego- it took an ocean to replace my Lake Michigan. I was fun being a tourist through someone else’s eyes!

Wow Russ this was a very educational trip for me. As person a who lives in the south west and never traveled eastward, Michigan is beautiful. Green green grass and OMG the water for miles and miles, so ocean like. Thanks for the beautiful pictures of the water ways because being from the south west, I almost forgot what a lake with water is suppose to look like. Thanks for the ride along . Be well and may you have blessed travels ahead.

I greatly appreciate the videos. I like your relaxed yet enthusiastic delivery, and your choice of music. So many of these types of videos have obnoxious music, but yours is calm and doesn't get in the way. I'm picky about that stuff. Ha. Oh and I also like how you show where you are on the map from time to time. Helps put it in perspective and helps me visualize where I might like to visit if I'm there myself. Anyway thanks!

Russ, you're a great tour guide. I watched Arizona run last night. Since I grew up in Holland Michigan, I was interested in your Michigan trip. Interesting info on Holland... The town has Dutch heritage and has a Tulip Time festival in May every year. Draws about half a million people now a days. It's quite a tourist destination. The whole town is shut down during the daytime. It use to be 2 week celebration. Now it's about 5 or 6 weeks.

Tulip Time is only about a week and always has been. It definitely doesn’t go for 5-6 weeks. I was born & raised in Holland and have lived near it my whole life. I was also in Dutch Dance for 3 years in high school during Tulip Time.

I don’t know if you know do USS badger is part of US10 US Highway 10 (US 10) is a part of the United States Numbered Highway System that runs from West Fargo, North Dakota, to the Lower Peninsula of the US state of Michigan. The highway enters Michigan on SS Badger, which crosses Lake Michigan between Manitowoc, Wisconsin, and Ludington. As the highway crosses the state, it is a two-lane undivided highway between Ludington and Farwell and a freeway from Farwell east to the highway's terminus in Bay City. US 10 runs concurrently with US 127 in the Clare area along a section of freeway that includes a welcome center in the median. Outside of the Clare and Midland areas, US 10 runs through rural areas of West and Central Michigan in a section of the Manistee National Forest as well as farmfields.

This is my fist time here. Nice video, but you missed a lot of beautiful light houses by not going along the shoreline on Red Arrow Hwy. Anybody else taking this trip, please go to St. Joseph MI. St. Joseph, first! It has two piers and two light houses. You will love the quaint city of St. Joe! A lot of nice shops and don’t miss the dime store named G&M Variety! It’s the original dime store from the 50’s. The store has everything you used to buy as a kid! Then, head north on Red Arrow to S. Haven, then Saugatuck and then Holland. Actually, all these towns are beautiful! But by taking the interstate, it not only takes longer, but you miss the beauty of the coast line. I’m so sorry I did find this channel sooner, to advise you.

Hi Russ, thanks for another great video. That wonderful early summer white stuff that you were talking about was probably from cottonwood trees in the area. Either that or the dandelions. Show me the stuff on Michigan. You’ve done is great. The only thing I’ve missed from Michigan is about all the different bicycle pass that are paved in the state. and course there’s a lot of paved trails in the state. I could’ve missed them. About 13 to 1500 miles of paved trails for the state. And probably an hour that is off-road dirt gravel through woods and stuff.. when you come into Michigan, on 23 on the west side of Toledo stopped at the first rest area. they have a book. It’s 3/8 of it is thicker thicker that’s all the bicycle trails that are paved in the state. I always get one when I go back.. thank you for doing a good job

Love your road trip videos! You indeed are able to go out onto both Muskegon lighthouses. The skinnier one is on more of a sketchy breakwater pathway, and the red one is accessible via a "small civilian" marked strip of pavement through the USCG and NOAA property that leads to the pier it's on.

The ferry in the movie was portrayed as "Detroit, MI to Racine, WI" Considering Detroit is in the SOUTHEAST corner of Michigan and Wisconsin is across Lake Michigan that ferry would have had to travel all the way up Lake Huron, across the Straits of Mackinac then almost the entire length of Lake Michigan. Needless to say, it doesn't exist.
