The game is indoors on artificial turf, which favors the track meet that Washington wants. If it was outdoors on grass with wind, Michigan would be favored. I think the Huskies passing attack is deadly. It will be 42-31 Washington, or something like that.

Remember Michigan is very familiar with Penix and his coach who played at Indiana..Advantage Michigan here too. Michigan will run, take long drives, control the clock to keep that offense off the field.

Washington reminds me of 2019 LSU. It didn't matter how dominant your d-line was, they always find a way to score.

Washington doesn't even have the type of coach that's meant to win natties. Natty winning teams have household name coaches, the best recruits, the most dominant season, and Washington doesn't have any of that while Michigan does. Washington is literally the type of team that's meant to be the sacrificial lamb for a team getting ready to roll them over to prove their greatness. lets not fail to understand that abysmal PAC12 defenses have given the illusion that Washington's offense is better than it really is. They had 11 close games this year and everyone is focusing on Penix, Penix, Penix. They haven't faced a defense like Michigan all year and are without their RB and fail to understand just how good UM's offense is. They're one dimensional now while UM is multi. GO BLUE!

Michigan plays a team very similar to Washington every yea in OSU. With the same or better receivers. Michigan practices for a team like Washington 365 days a year.

I think there is a good chance that Michigan runs away with this by a few scores. Nothing against Washington but the Wolverines current team was built to beat the crap out of OSU, specifically the 21 and 22 teams with all those NFL receivers and QB. I think Washington is almost identical to those OSU teams, which plays right in to Michigan’s wheel house.

i have michigan 30-34 ish to 24. Washington is going to get alot of passing yards it is what is. as long michigan doesn't loose containment they should be good. they just cant let them score outside the redzone. the short field will make it difficult for Washington to pass and forced to run. which will be very difficult on michigan. where as i think michigan should have alot of success running the ball. however a couple of turnovers could blow this game wide open.

I find it funny everyone wants to talk about Odunze and Polk but no one wants to mention literally the best player that'll be on the field and is a top 10 pick in 2025 in Will Johnson. Washington hasn't seen a top 50 pass defense, Michigan is 2nd. Minter and Michigan played Cj Stroud and Marvin Harrison Jr on the road with 3 of the 4 same starters in the secondary. If Washington comes out trying to throw 40+ times on this defense it'll get ugly quick. They need to have balance.

Just look back on the last natty winners to see this trend of them being the most dominant team all season long. This pretty much guarantees Michigan's victory against Washington.

Texas pass defense was ranked 90th before game. Michigan pass defense has been #1 all year. Washington beat Texas on the pass game which is advantage for them. Washingtons defense is terrible. Michigan has played 3 offenses similar to Washington But Michigan faced 10 teams with better defenses than Washingtons. UNLV and MIchigan state have better defenses. Then you go to Ohio state, penn state, and Iowas defenses are 10 times better than Washingtons.

So the question is - what is Washington's defense (#53) going to do with Michigan's offense ranked #13? BTW - Washiington's offense is ranked #10. So the #1 defense vs #10 offense, and the #13 offense against the #53 defense.

Sorry but Penix isn't Alabama Milroe nor is Ohio State with C J Stroud! Those OSU teams had weapons! Here the difference with Washington, Penix and Debeor. C J Stround against Michigan would get his numbers, move the ball and score. He would use only one or two of those top NFL WR to do it. Washington with Penix has 3 NFL high round picks WR! However, Penix led by the play calls of Deboer will throw to other targets like two of their TE or RB when they have the match! Penix pin point accurate! Go look at the catches against Texas. When Washington can score on average in a few minutes sure running will run the clock. Problem is if Michigan isn't scoring TDs then just like everyone else they are in reality running the clock down on themselves. Ill take a fresh Penix and odunze in 4th quarter.

Michigan will rush four and make Washington earn their way down the field. The defense stays fresh because Michigan is so deep on the defensive line and rotates. I do agree that Michigan will run the ball and try to bleed the clock. If Michigan can run and get pressure with four then it's game over.

Michigan has not allowed any team to score more than 24 points this season, and only two teams scored over 20 on Michigan. That includes the Penn State and Ohio State teams that Michigan faced in November, when they were at full strength. Without him, I think Michigan wins by 3-7 points.

Michigan seems to have a clear advantage on this one. They were built specifically to beat Ohio state teams with 5 star QBs and WRs all over the field.

The best offense Michigan has played is ranked #42 UNLV..So Michigan's numbers are where they are because they haven't played any good offensive teams. Not to take anything away from Michigan, but as a UW fan, I saw nothing in the Rose Bowl that made me afraid of them. I'm confident in my Huskies. Did this guy just call UW "The easiest possible draw in the championship?" You know what, I was trying to be gracious, but nah. Michigan looked like ass on the field in Pasedena for 55 minutes and is in real trouble against UW.

It would seem our secondary is actually pretty good, Washington has the best O-line this year. That said, I think Michigan's D-Line is the best this year. I think Washington is going to get a big dose of Blake, Donavan, Mullings and JJ. Michigan will eat the clock up. Anyone who thinks that JJ can't throw with Penix, I would say take a look at their QBRs JJ is no slouch, obviously far more athletic, 4.4 speed (when healthy). Michigan will do what they do, control the game.
